How To Wear Crop Pants At Any Age

There’s a dozen or more varieties of crop pants, and they are making another revival this year. They were super hot the year I was born, and keep cycling back. Wide leg, fitted, zippered, cuffed – we see them on the runway and at the supermarket, and everywhere between.

This week’s Visible Women from Visible Monday show their individuality, and provide inspiration on how to style crop pants, plain and fancy. I love real-life models, don’t you?

As always, the first tip is: wear crop pants if you want to, and own it. Go colorful or khaki, flowy or slim, silk or denim.

Always room in my closet for a pair of funky crop trousers:

Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb likes color and print for her cool ankle trousers. Casual sneaks and multiple gold bangles make her look even more modern and chic:

Susan of High Heels In The Wilderness just bought these classic slim crops, and shows how versatile they’re going to be, from Summer into Fall. Click on her link to see all the ways she’s already created outfits with these quintessential crop trousers:

Jodie of Jodie’s Touch of Style goes bold with hot pink mid-calf crop trousers, and a little flare at the hem. Perfect with a feminine blouse and a shot of yellow heels. Jodie straightened her curls too, for a new look:

Suzanne of Suzanne Carillo put her artistry to work with these self-painted cuffed jeans. She generously shares the how-to in her post. These look so, so cool with Suzanne’s hat and blue heels:

I love them too, as seen here – loose black crops by AllSaints with a chambray shirt and low-heeled booties. These pants can go dressy too, with a tuxedo jacket and silk tank.

  1. I practically live in my denim crops and have them in three different shades of blue and in white, styled like Jodie’s mid-calf crops. Now I would like a pair in hot pink!

  2. Expertly demonstrated by yourself and Suzanne and the others.
I don’t think that I’ve ever embraced cropped trousers – other than rolling my Levis up back in the days when I wore jeans. xxx

  3. These all look great, but my favorite is the second look. Just enough ankle to give some hot-weather-breathing-space, but long enough to give a long, lean line. Jenna Lyons length.
