A long duster sparks joy. Doesn’t everyone love a long duster? And what’s not to love – they make you look taller and thinner (if that’s what you like) and a printed duster adds interest to any neutral outfit. You can find a cool one at the thrift or consignment shop for a nice price.
Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!
This long duster in a cheery floral print is one of my rental pieces from Nuuly this month. (If you want to try their clothing rental service, get $20 off your first order with this link). It’s by Sunburst, and a comfortable medium weight, perfect for about 3/4 of the year in Florida. A knit duster would be excellent if you live north of the Mason-Dixon line 😊.
The polka dot blouse by Mango was thrifted locally. A deep vee neckline is the most flattering shape for me – which neckline is your personal favorite? And the black skirt is truly a blast to wear, with its distressed, asymmetrical hemline and soft drape. It’s by Nation LTD and another Nuuly rental piece for January.

I like the look of a patterned duster over a simple outfit – definitely kicks it up a notch.
This is such a great print, Patti! And paired with the polka dots makes it even more joyful! I love dusters. I just picked up a really cute plaid one today. I can’t wait to wear it!

Hello Jess and thanks for link up today! Your cropped denims are just the ticket – great style! Have a wonderful week ahead. xox
Great pieces. I really like the uneven hem of the skirt. Dusters always feel elegant, maybe it’s the “swish” factor, LOL!
Good morning Kim, and thanks for coming over. Love, love that cozy oversized cardigan you’re featuring, xox.
Going to keep my eyes out for kimonos/dusters this year. Just didn’t see anything I liked much last year and it wasn’t what I wanted at the time.

Thank you dear Jill, for your kind words and for linking up! I hope your day is lovely, xox.
Here I am again. It has been a long time. So busy. As I am going to retire from my current job in two months, it is getting quiter at work. My successor has already started. When I read your post I grinned when I read that this duster adds interest to a neutral outfit. And then you do some pattern mixing (the blouse and the duster). That to me isn’t neutral haha.
I would LOVE to rent clothes myself, but in the Netherlands they don’t have this service. And I don’t think there is a market for it either. Dutch have a reputation of being stingy.
Greetje
Hello Greetje and thanks for coming over! It’s wonderful to see you again, in your gorgeous black dress with flowers. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement, I think you are going to love it, xox.
Brilliant mix of patterns. You have a great eye.

Hello, Debby and thanks for linking up! I’m impressed with the detailed pussy bow blouse you created, xox.
Patti, I love the way you styled the floral duster and polka-dot top with that skirt. Subtle but pretty pattern-mixing. I, too, like a V-neck. But I also like a slightly high or mock neck for some tops. Thanks for hosting!
xx Darlene
Good morning, Darlene and thanks for coming by, and for your kind words. Your winter white look is gorgeous! xox

I love dusters and have several in my closet. They are great for adding that long and lean look and for adding a touch of something different to your style.
Hi Debbie and thanks for coming by! Your midi skirt is fab with those plaid heels, xox.
Great look! I love to wear long cardigans too! Have a great start of the week!
Yes, I love dusters too. I don’t have a beautiful floral like yours but have some solid color ones.
Hello Terri and thanks for linking up! I love the plaid tunic – modern and classic at the same time, xox.
