How to dress relaxed but not sloppy. Looking and feeling relaxed are two of the best things about being 60-plus. In fact, it’s my goal for every day. 😊 But looking sloppy isn’t appealing to me, except for days when I’m going to scrub bathrooms and kitchen. Even then, I wear my house-only uniform of running shorts and one of Sandy’s tees, nothing ratty.
Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!
A mild-winter uniform of denim skirt plus oversized sweater is one of my favorites. Nothing fits tightly, there are no pantyhose involved, I can take a nap dressed like this, and the shoes are . . . well, sneakers. But cute ones!
This We The Free midi distressed denim skirt (rented via Nuuly) goes with all my sweaters. It looks modern with tights and booties too. Click here if you want to try the Nuuly rental service at a discount. The striped cotton sweater is extra-soft and cozy. It’s by Free People and also rented from Nuuly this month. Yes, the sleeves are loose and relaxed, but not sloppy.

So, so cute! I am the same way. When I am just sitting at my desk working from home, I like to be relaxed but not sloppy. This usually means distressed jeans and a cute top with accessories. But often just my slippers on my feet!
