Relaxed But Not Sloppy: Visible Monday

How to dress relaxed but not sloppy. Looking and feeling relaxed are two of the best things about being 60-plus. In fact, it’s my goal for every day. 😊 But looking sloppy isn’t appealing to me, except for days when I’m going to scrub bathrooms and kitchen. Even then, I wear my house-only uniform of running shorts and one of Sandy’s tees, nothing ratty.

You will not see me doing the vacuuming in this fabulous 1950’s frock. And pumps! Source.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

A mild-winter uniform of denim skirt plus oversized sweater is one of my favorites. Nothing fits tightly, there are no pantyhose involved, I can take a nap dressed like this, and the shoes are . . . well, sneakers. But cute ones!

Ahh, a relaxed, sunny day at the beach in completely cool but not-sloppy style. The gold-tone fringed pendant is from Nordie’s and adds a touch of class. Red sneakers by Vans are a wardrobe staple all year round. I toss them into the washing machine every couple of months.

This We The Free midi distressed denim skirt (rented via Nuuly) goes with all my sweaters. It looks modern with tights and booties too. Click here if you want to try the Nuuly rental service at a discount. The striped cotton sweater is extra-soft and cozy. It’s by Free People and also rented from Nuuly this month. Yes, the sleeves are loose and relaxed, but not sloppy.

Ceramic kitty gets a skritch on the head. I love it that plants flourish all year in Florida, and I still miss the excitement of Northern Spring.

Are you happy and relaxed in your look today? Show us (whatever you’re wearing) in the link-up!
