I know we’ve been over-taxed with articles and books about How French Women Dress (perfectly, it seems). But forgive me one more descriptor: this is my French-Girl Look. Simple and relaxed and neutral, with red lips.
My Refined Style isn’t refined in the sense of shopping at only the priciest boutiques. It’s refined down to what I love to wear, what speaks to me from my closet, and what fits me comfortably. Like this graphic tee (sim) with just the right shape, my favorite boyfriend jeans (sim), and my Sofft booties (sim). I’m wearing a slim bracelet and a big faux ring (sim), and that’s it. Ready for cafe and croissants.
The wind was blowing as you can see, but I don’t mind it; the gorgeous ocean is just yards away. I am a very fortunate Not Dead Yet Woman.
Now, let’s see what your style is today!
Monthly Fashion Over-40 Linkup
Women shouldn’t have to follow a set of rules once they reach a certain age. However, the over-40 woman does develop the confidence to refine her own personal style and that’s what My Refined Style is all about!
This monthly Linkup goes live on the first Thursday of every month on 7 blogs and runs for one week.

Great description of being refined, it truly is about comfort and what we love to wear, especially at our age. This casual look is the perfect example, it’s simple and chic.
Thank you Trina – we’re not slaves to fashion; we boss the heck out of fashion. : >
Love it, such a perfect casual-but-put-together look!
Thank you, Susan! xo
Very cute outfit. I wish I had the ocean breeze blowing in my hair!
you can hop on your bike and get there, that’s my wish for you. xox
Ah the French…I was disappointed with what I saw the last time I was in Nice, I fear globalization has infiltrated their chic style and turned them into North Americans. Thank heavens there is always Paris which seems to be mostly uncorrupted.
I love this chic look. And who doesn’t like a petit chien?
oh no! not North Americans! We’ll always have Paris. xox to you,
