I’ve never been much of a preppy woman – I prefer knits to button downs, and haven’t owned a pair of penny loafers since sixth grade.
But this thrifted Ralph Lauren stripe shirt (similar) is one of my favorites. It never needs to be ironed, and goes with almost everything. The thrifted J. Crew cotton skirt (sim) makes for a daring print mix – well, a little bit of a print mix. I love the sailor style front.

And this pendant (sim) is well-loved – I bought it maybe six years ago at a cheapie teen store and I’m still attracted to it. It looks like a Mockingjay, the fierce warrior animal of Katniss Everdeen. But I think it’s just a cool bird with attitude.
