Note: as I am writing this, we are waiting to see if big bad hurricane Irma is going to affect our coastline. In case we lose power, I may or may not be able to respond to all your delightful comments. Apologies in advance, and please, all hurricanes: just go out to sea and wilt.

I always feel like having fun when I wear my silver wig (the Gala by Gabor). There’s something about that vibrant white color that makes me, paradoxically, feel young and peppy. I eagerly await the day when my natural hair will be this color; I think it’s so flattering.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

This outfit is a summer favorite. I love layering a tank top over this floaty sleeveless dress (similar). The new knit tank top (sim) was recently purchased at Loft, retail! I can still only dress myself independently if the top part of my outfit is stretchy and has a big armholes :-). It’s the back of the tank that pops with colorful stripes.

I color-coordinated my cast cover, with a silk Missoni scarf (a splurge from 20 years ago). I’m still offering $100 to anyone who will come over and take the hardware off my wrist. Hand tools are acceptable. I know, I know . . . must wait for the proper doctor – now only nine days away!

  1. Thank you for any other fantastic post. The place else may anyone get that type of info in such a perfect approach of writing? I’ve a presentation subsequent week, and I am at the search for such info.

  2. We’re watching the news to see how things are progressing over in the States dear Patti and send you our love and good wishes – stay safe. In the meantime, only nine days to go until you’re released from your hardware, as you say, so hang on in there. I think your dressing in a scarf is a lovely idea.
    Take care

  4. I love the surprise back of the tank top. And the wig!
And I was so relieved to see the storm downgraded on its trek. It is a sadness and heartbreak. I hope everyone will find the strength to get through it all.
And the cast-off countdown is under way. This is a good thing!

  5. The Wig looks so fabulous on you, super cute! The dress is fab too, I do hope you are okay and all is well, what a horrible storm! We have been dealing with yucky air quality from fires, but thank God not dealing with FLorida disasters, take care!

  7. Hope all’s well and you’re safe, Patti.
The top is gorgeous, i love the back detail and the hair looks utterly splendid! xxx

  8. I hope you make it through the storm. I love the details of that shirt – so unexpected with the stripes in the back. As always, thanks for hosting.

  9. Love that sassy hair and the fun tank top.

The countdown is on for removal of the cast. I’m sure you can’t wait.

I do hope that the storm hasn’t caused too much havoc out your way. Thinking of you.

    bisous

  10. The hairstyle is so fantastic on you, chic and modern just like your fashion sense. I see from one of you comments and IG that your area didn’t get a hard hit but that doesn’t negate the impact of all of Florida. You and others I know have been in my thoughts and hopes for minimal damage.

  11. You’re a dedicated fashionista Patti! I’ve been thinking of you during these weather reports. Glad to see you’re still having fun with fashion at a time like this. The hairstyle and colour of your wig suits you, but I also like your curly, natural look!

It won’t be long now till the hardware comes off. Thanks for hosting!

  12. I love your curly hair but that straight wig is so flattering on you, I have curly hair but when I straighten it it always seems to make my face somehow harsh but that choppy cut wig looks do good on you I might have to try that style myself! Hope you are staying safe.

  13. Oh Patti, you are too cute with that wig and ensemble. I would’ve never thought of the combo, but it looks so 20s.

I think it’s great that you still put your Visibles party on in the midst of chaotic weather. I think of you all the time and hope Irma parts company with your area sooner than later. Stay safe my friend.

  14. I was glad to read that you are not in the direct path of Irma. I feel powerless and sad seeing all of the destruction that the recent storms have left in their wake.
On a lighter note, I love how you play with wigs, and the tank works perfectly over the ruffled dress.
