A Just-Right Dress For Any Age: Visible Monday.

A just-right dress for any age. This was my outfit for Christmas Day, a colorful, high-waisted floral dress and funky boots. A dress is often the best, easiest solution for those what-to-wear occasions – in our case, dinner with friends at a riverfront restaurant. Simple to accessorize, no agonizing over how separates might fit together, and all the color decisions are made for you. 😊

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

This pretty and feminine frock is by Anthropologie (sim), and rented via Nuuly. If you want to try this clothing rental service, you can get a $20 discount off your first order with this link. Their choices often have a boho feel, as they’re affiliated with Anthro, but there are classic pieces too. The dramatic black bead necklace was made for me by the talented Suzanne.

I love the floral pattern mixing and matching, and the peasant-y cut of this just-right dress. Style tip: if you don’t feel ready to do your own pattern mixing, a dress like this one is the perfect place to start.

The Chart House restaurant is one of our holiday favorites. The food, wine, and views of the Indian River lagoon are wonderful, and we’ve often seen a dolphin or manatee glide by.

This classic trench coat in a non-classic color elevates any outfit. I bought it retail at Vetta, an environmentally friendly clothing company. It was a splurge for me but I feel so grown-up (ha!) when I wear it.

Are you doing the just-right dress today, or a different but fabulous look? Show us (whatever you’re wearing) in the link-up!
