Don’t you love a feminine dress that you can just throw on, and feel terrific? That’s how I feel about this vintage 80’s “festival”/”granny”/”hippie” dress I found at Bella’s shop. It’s a little oversized, but that works to make it more comfortable, and gives it a boho vibe. I adore the dark floral print too, and the sweetheart neckline.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

A floral dress like this one (similar) doesn’t need much adornment. I added the pendant created by the gorgeous Suzanne Carillo, and a vintage bracelet from Bella’s shop.  Tan cowboy style boots (sim) and red lipstick, and done.

  1. My friend, you’re far from being a hippie, dippie chick, I assure you. What you are is a confident woman who knows what works for her personality and figure, and looks poised ALL the time 🙂 someone who clearly subscribes to comfort as well as style. And speaking of style, guess what?? I’ve just created my first ever link-up and it would mean ever so much to me if you’d come over and join, Patti. You know I have the utmost regard for you xoxo

  2. I saw this on you and thought, oh, you and Vix and Suzanne! A happy trio. Great dress, and I’ve been seeing lot of dark florals around. I just made it. Whew!

  3. I just love this dress and how gorgeous you look in it, Patti! Soft and feminine and so pretty! (PS. Sorry I’m late… But I’m here!) xxx

  4. Love vintage floral print maxis! It is hard to envision 80s clothing as now being vintage, but alas, it is true. And the neckline and that ruffle across the bodice adds such a flattering feminine touch. You also accessorized it beautifully!

  5. Old Hippie doesn’t describe your look! You might be re-visiting a few elements of classic bohemian styling but definitely with contemporary flair. I love the tan accents too. You’re looking fabulous these days. XXOO

  6. There is nothing better than having a dress you can just throw on and feel put together and add the floral feminine touch and its a perfect dress. Although I don’t see anything “granny” about it. But then again, I asked my hubby just the other day if the outfit I was wearing made me look like a grandma and his quick response, “you are a grandma” haha, put me in my place. I’m also laughing at your bundled up 60 degree winter. When it reaches 60 here, we throw on our shorts.

    • These are awesome! I love that you did paper piecing for the country scene, I had coedesirnd it and love seeing it in action! That urban one is awesome!, Love the red spray paint! Awesome work!

  9. Such a pretty floral dress! I remember these dresses and prints from back in the day – it seems funny to think of anything from the 80’s being vintage. 🙂

  17. Yes, I agree – I love a roomy, ethereal, floaty dress. A great, no-fuss way to get dress, yet still look wonderful. As you do, Patti.
