How To Rock A Sundress With Some Coverage

A sundress is an easy way to go for casual summer style. One piece, a cool material, some sandals,  and you’re ready for the steam-heat.  I like to cover more skin than many sundresses allow. (Wear what you love, and if that’s a strappy sundress, go for it. No rules from me).

So I look for a dress with enough sleeve to cover a bra strap, some coverage at the back – a deep scoop is lovely there, but not a fully naked back – and a hem at the knee or below. Not too many flounces, and a summery print or cool neutral. I still like to show off my neckline and upper chest. Not too particular, am I? ☺

Here are some sundresses I’d like to have in the closet, along with my trusty Karina collection of sleeveless frocks:

This maxi sundress from Anthropologie is pretty enough for dinner with friends, and casual enough for everyday.
I love the paisley print.
This wrap sundress, also from Anthropologie, might be my favorite. Fab fabrics, and pockets too.
A white sundress always looks fresh and cool, unless I drop my tomato salad.
This pretty one is from Gap
I can’t leave you without showing a classic black sundress, this one also from Gap. I have a similar
one with a shorter hemline and it’s a great chameleon – from beach to cocktails, it works.

Are you a fan of the sundress?

Stay fabulous,
