What (Not) To Wear, A Small Lesson

Nothing terrible to see here – just a small fashion oops, and that’s how we learn! When wearing slim trousers, don’t wear bulky leather boots underneath, or you’ll get the dreaded “boot ridge” on your calf. You won’t get sick from it, and no one will scorn you, but it’s less than sleek.

Nice blouse, jacket and trousers, but somebody’s got lumpy boots underneath.

Behold and learn, my friends. And have a wonderful weekend.

Visible Monday is on its “off” week this week, so we can recharge and refresh, and contemplate the meaning of life. ☺ We’ll be back on Monday, February 10th (actually, the Sunday evening
before)!

  1. Is it more visible in person than pics, perhaps? It makes sense that it could be a problem, but doesn't scream faux pas in the pictures… I love this jacket with the cute tied center!

  2. Would not have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out — plus it's so cold this week that I think people are inclined to be forgiving of your warmth-related choices.

  3. I couldn't tell. The black camouflages it well I think. Loving the bit of zebra sticking out. Very wild for you Ms. Patti! : )

  4. I also learned this lesson ….and you are right, we learn by doing!! It really doesn't look as bad as you think it does.

  5. I wouldn't have noticed:). But it is something I am very conscious of myself. I now wear ankle booties with pants and successfully avoid this little problem. Lovely outfit, the jacket s quite stunning.

  6. Next Monday you will see an even bigger blooper on my little blog… You are so right…through bloopers we learn. And it is kind of you to share these lessons.

  7. Hardly visible, Patti. I'd love to wear pumps and sandals all year round but have to opt for boots and booties due to the winter weather.
I have a new zebra blouse too (currently with my seamstress for alteration) and love your cute jacket.

    Have a lovely weekend,

  8. I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out!
Man, I loathed that programme, without fail they'd turn every subject into a caramel-highlighted, layered haired, jersey wrap-dressed clone with stretchy knit, knee-high, pointy boots. x

  9. This is hardly a faux pas. I don't even notice it. And by the way, how much do you miss that show? Now I'll never get my $5,000 wardrobe!
