What I Wore: A Lovely Rita, and a Jewelry Giveaway

Today I chose easy dressing, for my first day back to work after a lovely vacation (stay-cation, actually, because where I live is pretty swell). My co-workers said they missed me and my boss said he hadn’t noticed I was gone. Should I be worried?Β  ☺

This Karina Rita dress is so simple to slip into. The colors are cheery and play nicely with my blue suede sandals. And as I write, the dress is in my washing machine ready for another wearing within a few hours if I need it. I won’t, I shall be in my jammies, but it’s nice to have a dress that’s a fast turnaround!

The gorgeous bracelets are courtesy of Beleza. They’re a fair-trade boutique offering jewelry, scarves, handbags, art and more. All the products are made by participating craftswomen, in a fair-pay, supportive atmosphere.

I chose the simple and gorgeous Nilson Narrow Bracelet, now out of stock, with semi-precious stones from Brazil. It’s well-made and I love the artisan look. It’s on my left wrist above.

And here’s one for you! It’s the Nilson Wide Bracelet with Stones, a $48 value and big sister to my Nilson bracelet. Pretty, yes?

My WendyB “G” ring goes everywhere I go.

This bracelet is a gift from Beleza to one of my readers. All you need to do to qualify is:

  1. Follow Not Dead Yet Style on either Facebook, Google Friend Connect, or Bloglovin’ (see sidebar), and
  2. Leave a comment below with your email address in it.

That’s it! I’ll choose the winner at random and announce her one week from today. Have a terrific Thursday, and be excellent to each other. xoxo

  4. I just took a peek at the Rita dress on the website, thanks for the link. This dress is flattering to women of all shapes and sizes as shown on the Rita page. It looks darling on you, being so petite. After looking at their page I realize that it would even look good on my voluptuous hourglass figure. I am excited since I have been on the hunt to a carefree easy dress for the dog days of the Florida summer.
I am a long time follower via Bloglovin' and have just liked your facebook page. Thank you for the opportunity to win this unique bracelet. The fact that it is a fair trade item just makes it that much more special.

  9. Love, love, love the bracelet. I like a big chunky statement piece. The dress is lovely on you and I like your layering technique for modesty. It looks so much nicer than pinning the neckline as I see many women do.

  10. You are an inspiration, pretty Patti. The bracelet would be a special gift for my friend, Ginny.

  11. Patti – I think you look lovely! I have a confession – I never even look at dresses like this on the rack as I am busty, but now that I see it on you, with a lovely camisole underneath, I feel that I am denying myself many gorgeous dresses! Thanks for the heads up about this company – was not familiar with it!

  12. wow, this is a lovely dress! I adore it! It makes my head swirl a bit when I look at your pictures for too long, but in a pretty way. Lovely bracelet as well and I'd love to win it of course!

  14. This outfit is quintessential Patti – pretty, feminine, great print and gorgeous colour (blue is so good on you), soft and easy. (Those final two words don't sound right as a way to describe you, but you know what I mean….)
The bracelet is a beauty. Are Europeans included in the giveaway? No worries if not, but I'll enter just for the hell of it! I follow you through GFC and Bloglovin and I like you on FB, so I have all the bases covered! (curtise.monk@btinternet.com) xxx

But your blog is already a long time in my sidebar on the list of my favorite blogs.

  17. Lovely in the Rita! And the jewelry is stunning. I follow you on Facebook and Bloglovin', so I'm in.

  18. You shouldn't be worried that your boss didn't know you were gone; your BOSS should be worried that s/he doesn't know what's going on. Ha.
Karina dresses do look so swishy and lovely and comfy. This one looks great on you, especially with your blue suede shoes (Twin Peaks spit). I'm lovin' (gah, that apostrophe) you on my Bloglovin' and if this is open to Canada, I'm in. That's a gorgeous bracelet.

  19. I'm still following you from Google's Friend Connect (I still see updates, what was the deal?), does that count? I think you have my email but it's nepenthes (at) shaw (dot) ca.

I love that dress on you, Patti, but my heart went pitter-pat(ti?) when I saw that chunky, ethically-made (yay!) bracelet. *hoping I win*

  20. I've been reading your blog for awhile via Feedly but just followed you on Facebook, too. The bracelet looks lovely and since you also have small wrists, it looks like it might fit me (I have trouble with bracelets being too big). My email address is debbie@incline2000.com. Love your blog!

  21. If your boss didn't notice you were gone then you have trained everyone around you properly and his life if therefore easier! πŸ™‚ Lovely dress.
