There was a strong theme in this week’s Visible Monday link-up: mixing gray and black, keeping it neutral and looking serene. Could it be the January effect? So much gray sky, snowy yards, and damp chill? Nah, we all look pretty happy. It’s soothing some days to stick to easy, foolproof dressing formulas. And this combination is always chic, no matter the winds of fashion.
Olga added a statement pendant and textured tights. Love those shoes too.
For Vis Monday I wore a faux-leather vest (similar) and calf-high boots (sim). So wanna-be fierce. : >

Any one of us could add a vibrant scarf (sim) or colorful shoes (sim) or jewelry (sim). All those options are fun too, and it’s always OK to stay with cool neutrals. Do you get the urge to keep it simple some days? xo

I’m actually moving towards wearing a palette of somewhat neutral colors and – like you said – spicing it up with accessories. Love me some color, but I found I’m quite happier when I use it as well placed accents instead.
