It’s time, even in the sub-tropics, to start thinking about some Fall-ish pieces for the wardrobe. It’s getting dark earlier, the Pumpkin Spice latte is on the shelves, and I feel like picking up a few new things. My broken wrist recovery kept me out of all the brick and mortar shops for 6+ weeks – that’s not to say I completely eschewed online browsing : >. But I haven’t bought anything Fall/Winterish yet.
In Florida, it’s easy to adapt one’s wardrobe to cooler weather. I just bring out my jeans, long-sleeved tees, booties and midi-skirts. A couple of jackets and some Fall-color scarves, and I’m set for three months. I nevertheless like to refresh or add a few key pieces to reduce wardrobe boredom (Is that a problem for you too?). Gimme some:
New booties. I do wear booties almost every day in southern Fall/Winter. I need complete comfort without apology! I’d enjoy adding these to my boot collection:
I’ve found cobalt blue shoes really do go with everything! These have a nice walkable heel.
Fluffy jacket, or one with great art on the back. I’ve got a basic denim jacket and a leather short coat. Something more statement, like this, is what I’m looking for.
I just read that cropped jeans with a raw hem are the new “it” uniform. Like that means I’ve got to wear them! They do look fresh and fun to me, though, popularity be damned, so I’ll get one pair like these:
These look cool and wearbale with so many toppers. I’m going to search for a similar cut and color at the thrift, them rough up the hem myself.

It is always such fun to add a new piece or new element to our existing wardrobe. I adore both the boots that you chose and the denim. Fluffy jackets are also such fun to wear and so very cozy. Styling for Florida is not as complicated compared to the East Coast I think. Certainly, you do it very very well!
