Welcome to Visible Monday #39! If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the simple how-to.
It is really Spring now and bright colors will be seen everywhere! For today’s look, I chose a fairly somber base of black and blue and splashed it up with a bright green silk top and vintage scarf-as-belt.
Boots are still in rotation, but this full skirt looks good with ballet flats, and they allow for a scrap of skin to show. The black jacket makes the look work-appropriate, and without it, the look is more fun and fresh.
Our weekend has been stressful, as our sweet cat Skinny had to have emergency surgery. She had been bitten, it seems (we didn’t know), but showed no signs of trouble until Friday night. Her paw then began to swell up till it looked like a catcher’s mitt! We rushed her to the emergency vet, where they drained a large and painful abscess. Poor baby. She’s doing very well today, on antibiotics and healing nicely. Sandy and I are still recovering : >

So glad your cat is healing nicely.I love the leggings look with the flats.I would only kindly suggest that your skirt should be shorter. This way your legs would look longer and nicely covered(that they are already).

Hi Patti! Love the skirt with leggings idea. Tried it once, myself, but it didn't like me as much as I expected to like it. Hope you and Sandy feel better soon! 🙂 And your cat, too, of course.
Like the little blouse. I really love sweetheart necklines and find that they are hard to come across.
Not sure why the photo didn't load, above. . . but at least the link works.
What a spring-inspired outfit. I'm so ready to be able to get into lighter, brighter clothes. We got a taste this weekend . . .
