What a delightful surprise, when Tammy from Silverstyle told me that she and I and two other “over-40” blogs were featured in Fashion Over Forty / Style Goes Strong! The two other featured bloggers are my friends Debbi from She Accessorizes Well, and Joanie from Making 50 Fabulous. Whee! I am honored to be mentioned. Go over to Style Goes Strong when you have a chance; there are a lot of helpful articles about beauty and style in our middle years.
I discovered another terrific new blog this week, A Thrifty Mrs., blogging from Manchester, U.K. Her post on Thursday asked, “What three little words would you use to describe your blog?” She asked her readers to help with the answers, and got a lot of enthusiastic responses. She also invited us bloggers to answer for our own blogs, and you know, I love a list!
I hope(!) my blog is:
- Personal – expresses my point of view and reveals my honest experiences
- Fun – fashion and style are delicious/creative/expressive, and not too-too serious
- Realistic – recognizes our “I want to be a ballerina” days may be past, but we aren’t Dead Yet!
Among other things. But it’s fun to try to capsulize a big cloud of thoughts into a couple of words. And did I mention, I love lists?

The only words I can come up with are "irreverent" and "self-effacing." Gleefully absurd, maybe, at times? I'll have to keep thinking about this one.
