Some days, a jolly mix of what’s in your closet makes for just the right look. No need to press the crowds at Macy’s (opened at 5AM on Friday!). Just take another look at what you’ve got, throw some pieces on the bed and have a private fashion show. As I had nothing new and fab to show you today, I put together some familiar things and made a clothing casserole.

OK, the blouse with the adorable Bambi print (similar) was recently thrifted in NYC for about $15, so it is new-to-me, and already a favorite. Is 61 too old to wear a Bambi blouse? Oh hell no. The olive/gold shrug (sim) was thrifted a couple of years ago, and the AllSaints trousers (sim) were an A+ thrift score, also in Greenwich Village. The Aldo boots (sim) are old as the hills, and have been resoled many times; you can’t give up a pair of comfortable black boots, right?
The olive velvet shrug doesn’t match but it goes. Alas, the black bra would have been better if it were skintone. Thank you, camera, for lessons learned.
