I found this cool Badass Blogger tee at Society 6, through my friend and fellow 0ver-40 blogger, Suzanne Carillo. I love wearing it because I am really such a pussycat. I cry at all the movies, I listen to everyone’s troubles, I kiss my cat on the lips. But I am strong too, I can hold my own, and I can be whiskey in a teacup.

A woman is a combination of tough and tender:

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

The pinstriped zipper skirt (similar) was thrifted in NYC and I love the shape. It’s fun to wear, although sometimes the zippers spontaneously unzip, leading to malfunctions. Must have a sense of humor to be a badass stylista. I added a favorite old thrifted cuff (sim) and questionable white sandals (sim). I don’t know if they have a certain hip je ne sais quoi, or a retirement home vibe. It was too late to re-shoot, so I am embracing them.

Badass blogger, with Euro-chic zippered skirt and old lady sandals. Mix it up, ladies, mix it up!

A floral scarf (sim) adds a more sophisticated look and covers the naughty language.

  4. Patti, this is my absolute fave outfit from you to date!!! I love the word, Badass. It conveys so much in two mere syllables. Tough and tender, definitely. Ladylike with balls, without a doubt. I love you in it, I love that skirt you’ve paired with it. I might even attempt making myself one!! Thank you so much for always being so honest and true to yourself xoxo

  5. I love your Badass tee! Styling it with a pinstripe skirt is fun and edgy!

  6. Fun skirt, and I think your sandals work with this outfit. I am a lot like you, Patti, I think if I ever decide to wear a naughty language T-short, I will probably cover it with a pretty scarf. πŸ™‚

  7. Rock on with your badass self, Patti! You know I love the badassery in this! Love that funky skirt too! Thank you so much for hosting “VisMon” – me and the Vizz-meister will be right there!

  8. Such a badass style Patti you are really rockin it. It think this is one of my favorites of all time: the tee, the skirt, the sandals…I would totally want to steal that look πŸ˜‰ Have a great day and thanks for hosting! Sabina

  9. You are one sassy cat, Patti. Hope you’re wearing some hot pants under that zip skirt. You can always doodle on those sandals if they aren’t cool enough for you. I say, if they’re comfy, they’re cool.

  10. So fun to see you wearing the tee again : ) I can see I need to make you one that says Whisky in a Tea Cup.

    bisous
    Suzanne

  11. Amazing graphic tee! Now I want one, too. πŸ™‚ Love that you styled it with this fabulous skirt – such fantastic details.

  14. Badass Blogger – Suzanne makes the BEST T-shirts ever! I have one of hers that says Dressed to Piss You Off. LOVE it. You look great in your T, Patti. I don’t see old lady shoes here. I see stylish active-wear sandals for a woman running about town. I think the unzipping skirt matches the ‘tude in your T. Thanks for hosting!

  15. I love the skirt. Actually, I want it! It would be perfect for Argentine Tango. Now to you. I think it became sort of your style to have these kind of shoes. I just have to see the photo of your shoes and I now it’s a post of yours. I mean gal that’s something! Isn’t that what we want? Signature style that is so you, recognizable and distinguishes your from every one else? Everyone would say it is Nicole if you would wear this with an 4.5 inch strappy sandal. LOL.

  16. I agree – confidence and her smile are the two best things a woman can wear. That graphic tee totally suits you Patti and the asymmetric skirt is badass!

  17. Well that t-shirt definitely makes a fabulous statement…now I just need it in pink!!!
And I realize it’s all about the message on the shirt, but that skirt is so wonderful too—the texture, the zipper and that asymmetrical hemline!!!
Thanks so much for hosting this every week!! jodie

  18. I love the “mix up”, Patti. I’m always a bit confused about the shoe issue. I guess what I used to think of as old lady shoes…are indeed pretty cool these days. I’ve got a pair or two and will embrace them as being chic. πŸ™‚

  19. I’m sentimental too, but get me behind the wheel of my car? SO BadAss. Especially when commuting. “What?!? What are you doing you idiot!!!!!!” [makes disrespectful hand gestures that are only visible to self] [makes juvenile sneering face] [shakes head emphatically] You get the idea. Now you’ll never want to ride shotgun!

  20. Patti I saw this tee on Suzanne recently – LOVE seeing it on you!! It’s such an awesome t-shirt because it’s so true, you ARE a badass blogger! πŸ˜‰ Looks great with that skirt too, it’s such an edgy, unusual style.

Thank you for being a lovely host as always, much love

    Catherine x

  21. “Whiskey in a teacup”?! I love that! I also love the Badass Blogger tee shirt. If you’re featured in the Wall Street Journal as a 40+ blogger, you absolutely have EVERY reason to wear that. Congrats on that, Patti! xx
