When I can’t decide what to wear, I give myself permission to wear my closet favorites, as many times as I like. There’s a reason these pieces are my favorites: they fit well, flatter me, are easy care, and they feel like the authentic me. I’m sure you have pieces in your closet that do the same for you.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

This wonderful vintage 8o’s festival/granny/hippie dress has been a closet favorite for years. It’s from Citizen’s Rosebud Etsy shop, where you have to go take a look at all of Bella’s treasures. I love that it covers nicely, but is free and easy to wear. The feminine ruffles at the bodice are just right for my Refined Boho tastes. The length is perfect for flats, sandals, booties or pumps. I added only a vintage necklace (sim) and new-to-me chunky leather heels (sim).

I’m wearing hair from Paula Young, the Paige. Kitty is photo-shy today, yeah?

When it cools down a bit, a pattern-mixing blazer – this one by Trina Turk, thrifted, sim – is good cover. Now my skirt is caught on kitty’s ear.

Now, let’s see what’s in your closet, Visible Women.

The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:

    1. Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
    2. Include a link to Not Dead Yet Style somewhere in your post.
    3. Go to the bottom of this post and click on the InLinkz button “Add Your Link”. It should open a new page.
    4. In the “Next Step”, you crop the pic (easy tool) you want to display, and you’re done!

Oh hey! Not Dead Yet Style is on Instagram! Please check it out when you have a moment: Instagram.

  1. At last we are stripping off our clothes here in north west england.
Its not entirely good for the hair though all this heat. Yours is looking so lovely today Patti and the dress is a real winner for me

  2. I’m doing a little celebration dance Patti…..as I FINALLY got your badge to go in my sidebar. I’ve been trying for ages and worried your code was broken BUT I just popped the code in the same box as Catherine’s code and “hey presto!!” Success!!!!! Happy face.

  3. It’s been a while since I have stopped by but I am happy to be back. As a beauty blogger, I am happy to see more beauty related links. As always, thanks so much for hosting! Off to check out some new-to-me blogs.

  4. I love Citizen Rosebud. Did she also not use to blog? Her posts were very well-written, from what I can remember. You look very good in this dress, Patti, I can also see you funk it up with ankle boots and some leather đŸ™‚ Happy Monday, friend.

  5. I have implemented the following system in my closet: I hang items as I wear them on the right side. That way I know how recently I wore the items on the left side — the further left, the less recent. It works great for me!
Linking an IG photo, since I REALLY need to reach my deadline of sending #dailytruck images to the printer today and I’m doing a stellar job of procrastinating.

  6. The dress looks fab with the jacket, great mix of patterns. I have a few tried and tested outfits to fall back on when I can’t decide what to wear but need to get out the door quickly. Thanks for hosting, hope you have a good week!

  8. Looking lovely as ever! I don’t know how you manage to look fresh in that Florida heat and humidity.

I am also a fan of dresses this length and style for summer. They are so easy to wear.

  10. Cats like to hang out behind the curtains. If there’s none a maxi dress does the trick too. I like how the kitty has the hem on the ear. So cute. The dress is a great find. I like the mixing of the print and pattern with the jacket. Great look!

  11. I love it when you pull out something you have had forever and try different ways of wearing it. And it all pulls together so great. Thank you for being such a great hostess and have a wonderful week!
