It’s still summer temperatures here (you’re getting tired of me writing that, eh?) and I’m feeling desperate to throw on a cardigan or scarf. A little cropped jacket would be fun, not to mention a pair of tights. A velour track suit? No, not yet.
I did put together a floral explosion, with a big-print full skirt (from Modcloth, similar) with a small-print sheer floral blouse (thrifted, similar). The colors all blend – they “go” without matching. That’s one of my guidelines for print-mixing. I like this look for an afternoon in downtown Melbourne, starting at the pick-up window. What, no pick-ups?
The gladiator sandals are by The Flexx (sim) and that’s my new Coach tote. I don’t swoon for purses, but Coach makes a great leather bag – I get tired of them before they wear out, so I rotate them around my closet. Below I’m acting delirious with joy at being able to use two arms. : >

A lovely combination of print, Patti, and it’s great to see both your arms raised in celebration of freedom! But looking forward to wearing tights and warm clothing? No way!!! I hate the day when it’s time to cover bare summer legs. It is damp, autumnal weather here in the south-west of England, but I’m still resisting the tights!
I know, we often envy the other woman’s garden! Thanks for coming by, xo.
Glad to see you are cast and splint-free! Your outfit is a last blast of summer, and so pretty!
thanks Shelley! xo
Love this mixed floral explosion! I am such a fan of a creative blend of prints and textures! So happy to see both hands ! Yay !

it is indeed, thank you Gloria. xo
I love your description of this as a floral explosion!! I’m totally using that expression!

feel free, Jodie! : >
Yay, for being able to throw around your two arms with no unwanted devices attached! Not to mention looking fabulous in your pretty prints. Waiting for the end of summer heat and humidity in the Mid-Atlantic. Soooo over it.
yes, over the heat and humidity, whilst others have snow! thanks for visiting, xo
Congratulations on being “double-armed” again! Yay you! I love, love your double floral look! So fun and cheery!
thanks Ronnie! Two arms are better than one : >
I told you already how much I love this bright happy look but it is worth repeating.
It’s the little things in life…like having the use of both arms that people often take for granted.
Suzanne
so, so true. xox

I knew you could relate! xo
I’m loving your flora outfit and it must be great to get to use two arms again! We are having a couple of late summer days here too, so yay! xxx
enjoy those last warm days, Ann. xo
Great to see you with two fully functioning arms, Patti! that’s a brilliant bit of pattern mixing, too – I would have thought it was a dress.
we’re having unseasonably warm weather here. At 60 degrees it’s probably still cooler than your winters. xxx
thank you Vix! xo
I can’t believe how the weather can differ so much. It is only in the low 20s this morning with snow covering the ground. It is way too early for this too. But I love it anyway! I’ll be ready for warmer weather soon though! Love your photo and want pizza now!
Peace!
