Here I am in a very simple knit dress by Lands End, in the Color-of-the-Season, burgundy. It’s a great background for any number of accessories like bright scarves, major belts, necklaces, tights, and more. It’s a nifty, easy dress for work as it goes in the washer and dries without a wrinkle. It’s not high-fashion by any stretch, but a solid basic.
Then I introduced a very cool obi belt, created by my blogger friend Megan of Megan Mae Daily. She makes these belts from men’s ties, in all manner of colors and patterns. This one, the “Lynne” is just perfection for my Merlot dress.
Megan also introduced me, via her blog, to Cydwoq shoes and boots. Oddest name, eh? These are my first but not last pair of Cyds. I found them at a great price on eBay. They’re wonderfully comfortable and have such a stylish design! Thanks Megan, times two : >

Before beginning my blog I had purchased a lot of ties from ebay and had pinned together combinations to make these obi belts as I love the colors and patterns they add. Â Blogging and homesxhooling took me away but by spring I am going to have some made!!!!Â

I've never heard of these shoes, so I'll be googling them to see what's what 😉  Fashion inspo from other bloggers is one of my fav things about reading blogs–  love it!  Keeps my creative juices fashionably flowing!  (Sounds a little gross once 'juices' and 'flowing' are in the same sentence lolzz!)

Hot diggity, Patti! I would take that outfit piece for piece and wear it. The Cydwoqs are sooo gorgeous. I love how the print looks a bit spider-weby. I know I love all my cydwoqs, I can even wait until my next pair! You got an awesome pair. I haven't tried any of their heels, but I hope they're as comfy as my flat versions.
