Visible Monday #87: New Shapes, Old Favorites

I like this loose-over-fitted silhouette as a change from my usual waist-defining looks. It feels modern and youthful. I chose a soft, flowy gray tee by Gap and paired it with my cobalt pencil skirt. Check out the tee from the back – it has great details!

Accessories included my most unruly hair, a Scrabble-tile pendant (Etsy) and emerald bangle (thrifted). And! My new Poetic License shoes, via shopping site Ideeli, for just $30. I had to show these in close up because they are truly fab: they’re wool on the outside, with leather accents and a purple button-flower (Hello, Megan!).

To the Hostess with the Mostest!  You have elevated that little top far beyond what it ever dreamed of!  How cool is this outfit.  I like you in close fitting outfits (like this) and slim profile booties (like these so interesting ones!!!!)  I also like the combo of the chunk on your wrists and the delicate necklace.  Because you are such a petite flower, of course.

  4. Congratulations on your new Poetic Licence shoes, they're fabulous! They're in fact made by my favorite shoe brand, Irregular Choice. The emerald bangle just catches my eye every time you wear it. It's simply the first thing I see every time – isn't that strange?

    The way you've combined the shades of grey with blue is beautiful, and I love the buttons on your back – great!

    Congratulations to me too – I'm number 100! That's almost as good as a Silver Jubilee or something, right?

  5. Hi Patti, I have caught a flu bug so posted Saturday's pic – hope that was ok. I felt great in my outfit, so I thought it fitted VM!

    Still loving those little boots and the grey top sets the whole outfit off perfectly. Relaxed but very stylish.

  21. Great look!!  This is similar to a lot of my everyday looks.  The blue pencil skirt keeps it interesting color-wise and the tee with it makes it a really modern look– nice fresh look!

  41. I love heathery t-shirts with buttons (I'm wearing one as I type) and the heather/jewel tone combo is a winner. What a coincidence–my VM entry is strangely similar to yours as far as silhouette, scooped neckline, blue/gray/green colors and even green bracelet.

  51. I would like a bit more cobalt in my wardrobe – it is such a great colour.  I love the skirt and I LOVE the shoes! I think the accessories are great, especially your hair.  You may think it's unruly but I always think it looks great!
