Welcome to Visible Monday #70! If you want to participate, it’s so
easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the simple how-to.
It’s transitional season dressing time, yay! That opens the door for all kinds of fun looks, incorporating more layers, longer sleeves, and more scarving. For this outfit, I started with the most simple of white tees from the GAP. I usually buy a couple of these at a time, because, well, white tees just don’t stay work-worthy for long.
The print skirt was thrifted. I have enjoyed wearing it more than I expected, because it keeps its shape nicely and it’s a great length. The maker is “Nygaard”, of whom I had never heard, and for whom I found only this close approximation. Great skirt, anyway.
The scarf was an eBay find; it’s really soft and I see a lot of Fall/Winter potential for this one. Are you using your scarves like mad now that it’s cooler? (or even cold, for some of you!). I love to have one in my ice-box of an office, and have even converted them to rain-hats on occasion.

I love the scarf, Patti. And you look lovely and fresh. Your hair is beautiful. 🙂
Nygaard is a Canadian clothing company owned by Peter Nygaard. It had modest but profitable beginnings with a line called TanJay. Tan Jay was very polyester and very unhip. This no longer exists and has been replaced by Alia. In the last 20 years a number of lines, Nygaard, Peter Nygaard, Bianca etc., have represented the more upscale aspirations of Mr. Nygaard. As a side note, his place of business was picketed many years ago by a group of women hoping to shame wealthy alimony deadbeats into paying up.
You wear a scarf with pizzaz! Such a versatile accessory with limitless benefits!

That's a gorgeous scarf and you look stunning Patti. Thanks for letting me be a part of your Visible Mondays for the first time. Great honour to be amongst all you authentic beauties! And thanks so much for your kind words on my blog post – I've only just started blogging about my clothes and it's lovely to get the encouragement!
Nice scarf action! It's winter here so I've just started wearing my blue/gold Lurex knitted scarf again.
Hi Patti, so great to see your community growing! I love how this simple white t shirt so brings out the patterns on the scarf and skirt.I like how you have somehow simplified your dressing to show off one piece at the time.I love my scarves and use them all the time.Oh I so missed to leave comments on your blog.
Your scarf is so lovely, and I can so relate to office chill – I need scarves all year long, primarily for function! Gorgeous skirt as well, but my favourite parts of today's outfit are your wonderfully fierce lion mane and your smile all twinkling with mischief.
Thanks for hosting another awesome Visible Monday!
That scarf is beautiful, your shoes are really pretty.
Patti, your scarf is beautiful. I love how the pattern in your skirt picks up your sandal design, as well as the graphics in the scarf. And yes, I am actively putting my scarves into rotation again.
Peter Nygard is a designer for Dillards. The skirt looks a lot like something from that line. I have a number of pieces from that line.
You look wonderful in this outfit. That scarf is truly beautiful and it will look great with a lot of outfits.
love your scarf. I love this time of the year, because I do layer and layer.
Carrie
Ohhh, gorgeous scarf! There's about six days a summer here where it's technically not scarf weather!
Thanks, Patti, and seriously, that scarf is enviable, and you are print-mixing like it's your job.
Gorgeous scarf! So jealous you're using scarves because of AC. I'm living in them, because it's currently 47 degrees outside. 🙂 Love those sandals, the design looks so intricate!!! ~Sarah
So pretty! I really adore the bold scarf, it's lovely! Sometimes you just need something bright and happy to change up the day. Especially on a Monday.

Love the pattern-mixing. I've started wearing scarves a lot more now that the weather is cooler. And I have one in my office year-round. It's an ice box!
I love a good scarf (as you can see in my link up today. I'm wearing one of many vintage kercheifs I inherited from my gramma), and yours is wonderful! I never thought to look on ebay for scarves but I'm definitely going to start!
So delighted to be number 70 during your 70th Visible Monday post.

I had always remembered Nygard being a label my mother bought. Now my Mom is a very stylish lady, so I should have paid attention to Nygard earlier. Now I love the red sweater I have from them. Hope you enjoy your new skirt.
Lovely skirt and scarf! You look wonderful.
I love the detail in your scarf! Great shoes too! Always look forward to your creativity in mixing prints!

LOVE the combo of shirt and skirt! And scarves are so fabulous. I don't wear mine nearly often enough. You're inspiring me! 🙂
You're radiant in that beautiful scarf. xxoo
The patterned skirt is beautiful. I love that you mixed it with your beautiful scarf. I've worn a few scarves, but not many so far. It only just got cold this last week.
Nygard's a Canadian company, or was, known for good quality. The skirt's a pretty print and really wearable length.
this is a gorgeous scarf, Patti. I love them long like this…especially for the cooler months….it gives you more styling options.
I really do like that skirt… looks like you are really getting your use out of it! And your shoes are gorgeous… wish you had a closeup of the detail….
That is such a lovely scarf with such a pretty floral pattern and if it is long enough to be a dress I'd take it to the beach and wear it as a wrap dress over a bikini.
Beautiful skirt too!
You look great! Love both the scarf and skirt!
That scarf is beautiful! Yes, I am happy to be putting the scarves I bought in Paris to good use.
