I wear skirts a lot in steamy Florida Summer and Fall. They’re cooler than jeans in the humid climate, and so versatile. They can be completely casual or dressed up for an occasion. I especially love skirts with personality.
Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now! |
This Eileen Fisher skirt (thrifted, similar) has seen a lot of action. I wear it all year round, and love it with a black pullover, tights and booties. Today, it has new life with a petticoat underneath. Love that rustle, rustle, swish. I added a coral top (sim) and vintage western-style belt (sim), and finished with my funky Cydwoq booties (sim).
It was a beautifully windy day, and my skirts got blown up. And ceramic kitty stuck his naughty head underneath. Chunky vintage cuff (sim) is from Citizen Rosebud‘s shop.
Now, let’s see what’s in your closet, Visible Women.
The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:
- Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
- Go to the bottom of this post and click on the InLinkz button “Add Your Link”. It should open a new page.
- In the “Next Step”, you crop the pic (easy tool) you want to display, and you’re done!

I love skirts that have a good “Swish” factor!
Lovely skirt. Eileen Fisher has great clothes. I am a fan of petticoats and yours is particularly good. Have fun in NY.

What a fun outfit Patti! You’d fit in well in my new home state of South Dakota!
I didn’t know you’d moved! Hope you’re loving it all. xo
I love the petticoat…such a tease!
xo,

Love the colors of your outfit my friend. They are bright, rich and unexpected for Fall. That rusty coral and tanish-brown look great together. Thanks for the linkup my friend.
Love the addition of the petticoat, and I also am a fan of swish swish rustle!
I think that is why I love tulle so much. Also love ❤️ these boots!

Thanks for the link up, Patti! Have a wonderful week!
Love this outfit! What cute style! I love in Florida too, and it’s been too hot. At least it’s cooling up some (in the Panhandle).
Your secret’s safe with the kitty, you can rely on that.
Looking fabulous despite the wind! xxx
Such fun photos! Layering a petticoat under your skirt for more fullness and extra dimension really transforms your skirt. I can see why it is a year-round favorite!
Cats are always getting into trouble!
Love the windswept skirt and petticoat. Petticoats are just so damn feminine and probably why I love them. It’s like a secret you’re keeping and just showing a hint. Of course the cat knows the full story now. Ha ha!

Naughty kitty. The expression on his face after he comes out is priceless! Hahaha. I love this ruffled skirt look, so swingy and clean. And I always pine for Cydwogs. And Bell’s cuff will bring luck. Thanks for hosting, Patti.
Of course I meant Bella, not Bell.

I can see why that skirt is a year round favourite , so versatile with layering options. The petticoat also adds another dimension and looks great too. Many thanks for hosting Visible Monday.
Such an interesting skirt! And I can see how you can wear it with boots in winter or with sandals in summer. Multipurpose clothes, we need more of those.
Thanks for the link up, Patti. Have a great week too!
The ruffle skirt and petticoat is fab; I don’t have anything like that in my wardrobe! I may need to fix that…. xx
