New Shoes For The Win: Visible Monday

It’s been raining forever for a week in Central East Coast Florida, so we had to go inside for this week’s Visible Monday pictures. The indoor lighting is dull compared to natural light, but we Visible Women will be seen, oh yes we will.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

There is a plane heading for my head! I like this pretend-vintage painting of New York City; that’s the Chrysler Building blooming out of my shoulder. I’m dressed for everyday fun, in a newish floral top from MANGO, and a long-ago thrifted cotton skirt by Eileen Fisher. I am crazy for the unexpected hemline and swoosh factor.

An old thrifted belt, and two thrift-store long-tail cats round out the look.

The new shoes/sneakers(?) by Steve Madden are funky, and comfortable enough for walking all day. They look like oxfords, but have a cushion-y insole and sole. Yummy.

When I find a pair of shoes I like, I wear them every day. I am six years old.  : >

  1. I must be six years old too! Hahaha. I love those shoes: style AND comfort. I hope I’ll see them for real… And swoosh factor is real. Thanks for the linkup, Patti. Great painting.

  2. I hear you on the rain, we were in Clermont for 8 days and it rained every day, luckily we had mornings full of sun so we still were able to enjoy the pool each day. Great shoes

Poor Mr. Cat is all soggy out on the deck!! :-):-):-)

  4. Those shoes are every bit of fabulous! Oxford/sneaker hybrids {oxkers? Sneakfords?} are perfect with skirts and dresses. And so much fun.

  5. What fun shoes those are! I love the unexpected hoiking of the skirt too – swooshtastic! I like your indoor pictures (glad to see more kitties) – it’s nice to see little bits of your surroundings. Thank you so much for hosting, Patti! I’ll be along shortly…

  6. I need to check out those shoes, as I’m looking for a comfortable yet stylish pair to take on holiday. I’ll be making a beeline to Steve Madden’s Antwerp shop tomorrow! xxx

  7. Finding a pair of comfortable stylish shoes is kind of like winning the lottery. Are you bringing those to Vancouver?

    The skirt is super chic.

Those loafers are great fun and I love your long tailed cats! Being a nosey so and so it’s great to have a look inside your house. xxx

  10. That’s such a fabulous outfit, Patti! I love this gorgeous skirt and your new shoes – perfection! I was thinking just recently about finding a pair of Oxfords. I don’t have one yet! Yours sound just like what I would choose too! Hope the rain stops soon. Have a wonderful week!! <3

  11. Patti, this is all sorts of fabulous! Love the shoes and the fun hemline on the skirt. The skirt is reminiscent of a black cotton dress I once had that had all the little pick ups around the hemline like that. I loved the sweetness of it all. I think I wore it to death and had to dispose of it as it was slowly falling to pieces. But now I am wanting something similar!

  12. I am so over all this rain and the forecast says it will continue this week – yuck! It’s certainly having in impact on all the graduation parties and festivities which is a total bummer but I guess Mother Nature knows what we need.
Your new shoes are so funky and cool and if they’re comfy to boot than I totally get why you can’t stop wearing them. You styled them perfectly with that uber cool skirt!

  18. I love the sneakers, Patti- I have a few pairs of Steve Madden myself. He’s quite a character. I watched a documentary about him on Netflix a while back. Eileen Fisher is one of my favorite labels to hunt for second hand.

  19. Oooh I love those loafers. They are so sleek and chic yet the retro vibe gives them an old school feel which I adore!
    You are the cutest!
