I wear skirts most every day, year-round. I love the comfort, variety and swoosh-y feeling when I walk. But I’ve always had a thing for loose, easy trousers too. I like to wear them with feminine blouses, aiming for a Katherine Hepburn look – never a bad goal.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

This pretty floral blouse, with pussy bow and soft shape (similar), was thrifted at Talize, while shopping with Suzanne and Ally. The maker is Monsoon, a UK brand. The trousers (sim) were thrifted at my own Molly Mutt. They’re all linen, with a stretchy wide waist (yes!) so I can wear them higher or lower. And I do not iron them: I wash in the machine on cold, shake ten times and then five minutes of low setting in the dryer. Hang to completely dry – easy.

Floral booties (sim) look good peeking out from the long hem. Vintage bracelet from Citizen Rosebud‘s shop. Hair by Ellen Wille.

Finally, the kitty really goes with this look : >

  1. Hi Patti,
Ive been viewing your posts through Bloglovin and commenting there too. I see that those comments don’t appezr here. Do you receive them?? Just wondering if i should swithch back to this site istead…

  2. Agree with others here on the glamor of those pants. Very 40s! And you know how to strike a pose dear Patti! Thanks for hosting and have a great week. It is going to rain here all week, which I do not mind because I love rain. But wet dog in da houz 🙂

  3. Very cool, Patti. Linen is the best and with a stretchy yoga-like waistband, what’s not to like? Add a snazzy floral top and shoes, wow!

  4. Hello, boot twin!
A fabulous look. No harm in channeling Katherine Hepburn, definitely a style icon, just like you! xxx

  5. Linen — there’s a reason they’ve been used for safari clothing for all these years. Linen is the most cooling natural fiber. There are modern miracle synthetics that do all the wicking, etc, but nothing like linen to keep one cool. (Things I learned in textiles class, 1985).

  6. Hey Patti! Long time no visit- sorry about that! I haven’t been doing so much blogging or linking- will try to link with this tomorrow morning! I love the blouse and combined with these frankly excellent trousers makes SUCH a nice look!x

  7. I love your blouse, its really cute…vintage vibe to it, have a great Monday!

  8. Simply gorgeous! I love a wide leg trouser and these are beyond fabulous. I tend to shy away from linen, but you may have convinced me to give it more of a chance.

  9. That blouse is so pretty on you!

I love the trousers too. Very chic.

Every time I try to wear something like that I wind up looking like a Oompa Loompa.

    bisous

  10. I love your outfit! Those pants look so comfy. A couple of years ago you wore a pair of linen pants that were so cute that I went out and found a few pair for my closet. They are so comfy! I wore one of my amazing thrift finds to a fashion show over the weekend. I love a good thrift find. Peace!

  11. Hi Patti
Messed my picture up yet again haha but at least I’m here
I love your blouse and the outfit as a whole. I’m chuckling as I didn’t have my glasses on when I started to read your post and I thought I was reading about you washing and drying your hair. I got quite excited as I can’t do mine, my friend does it for me. It’s not good when she’s away on holiday though haha

  12. Very elegant and very Katherine look, Patti! Adorable blouse, what a great find! Thanks for your tip on linen. I dry mine in the machine usually, but maybe it’ll last longer done your way?

  13. Oh, those booties sticking out down there makes me want to lift those pant legs! Great look. I like the low waist too. Thanks for the linkup. xo

  14. I love flair and palazzo pants. I’ve made a few and thrifted a few but such a good style to have for today’s linkup. Have a great week!
