I wear skirts most every day, year-round. I love the comfort, variety and swoosh-y feeling when I walk. But I’ve always had a thing for loose, easy trousers too. I like to wear them with feminine blouses, aiming for a Katherine Hepburn look – never a bad goal.

This pretty floral blouse, with pussy bow and soft shape (similar), was thrifted at Talize, while shopping with Suzanne and Ally. The maker is Monsoon, a UK brand. The trousers (sim) were thrifted at my own Molly Mutt. They’re all linen, with a stretchy wide waist (yes!) so I can wear them higher or lower. And I do not iron them: I wash in the machine on cold, shake ten times and then five minutes of low setting in the dryer. Hang to completely dry – easy.
Now, let’s see what’s in your closet, Visible Women.

Very chic and relaxed. And although I can’t see them fully, I love the shoes! 😉
Hi Patti, so I was drooling over your pants then I saw the boots and my heart went a-thumping.
Agree with others here on the glamor of those pants. Very 40s! And you know how to strike a pose dear Patti! Thanks for hosting and have a great week. It is going to rain here all week, which I do not mind because I love rain. But wet dog in da houz 🙂
A fabulous outfit head to toe! Chic yet it looks super comfortable.
Looking beautiful! I love a stretchy waistband on pants. Very versatile!
Very cool, Patti. Linen is the best and with a stretchy yoga-like waistband, what’s not to like? Add a snazzy floral top and shoes, wow!
Such a lovely look! I Love your blouse!
Hello, boot twin!
A fabulous look. No harm in channeling Katherine Hepburn, definitely a style icon, just like you! xxx
Looking good in your wide linen pants and pretty blouse. Linen is the best for Summer.Thank you for Visible Monday.
Linen — there’s a reason they’ve been used for safari clothing for all these years. Linen is the most cooling natural fiber. There are modern miracle synthetics that do all the wicking, etc, but nothing like linen to keep one cool. (Things I learned in textiles class, 1985).
I love these wide pants on you. You look elegant, stylish and so chic.
Hey Patti! Long time no visit- sorry about that! I haven’t been doing so much blogging or linking- will try to link with this tomorrow morning! I love the blouse and combined with these frankly excellent trousers makes SUCH a nice look!x
I love your floral booties, Patti! Thanks for the link up.
The linen trousers are a great look, especially with the floral booties catching my eye from beneath the hem. Looking fabulous Patti!
What a pretty top! I love the colors, perfect in the fall too! Love the flowy trousers!
I love your blouse, its really cute…vintage vibe to it, have a great Monday!
I’m not sure I could love these trousers any more than I do! They look so fabulous on you!!!
Simply gorgeous! I love a wide leg trouser and these are beyond fabulous. I tend to shy away from linen, but you may have convinced me to give it more of a chance.
That blouse is so pretty on you!
I love the trousers too. Very chic.
Every time I try to wear something like that I wind up looking like a Oompa Loompa.
Looking fabulous, Patti! I have a similar pair of wide-leg pants and love them! My favorite pant silhouette! Have a great Monday!
Those are fabulous pants Patti! Very Katherine Hepburn-esque. 🙂
Thank you so much for another lovely link up.
Looking fantastic, dear patti
I love wide-legged pants! You look fabulous in yours!
Thanks for the link up & have a great week!
I love your outfit! Those pants look so comfy. A couple of years ago you wore a pair of linen pants that were so cute that I went out and found a few pair for my closet. They are so comfy! I wore one of my amazing thrift finds to a fashion show over the weekend. I love a good thrift find. Peace!
Happy to be twinning with you in flowy trousers Patti!
Come drop by the blog for my collaboration with Los Angeles-based indie brand BACIANO – I am sure you’ll love the retro vibes of the outfit I am wearing!
Looking good in trousers Patti! Nice for a change x
Fabulous look…you wear it well!
Love that floral blouse! I love the comfort of good trousers some time!
Such a cute look!
Love your Katherine Hepburn look. A particular type of elegance.
Messed my picture up yet again haha but at least I’m here
I love your blouse and the outfit as a whole. I’m chuckling as I didn’t have my glasses on when I started to read your post and I thought I was reading about you washing and drying your hair. I got quite excited as I can’t do mine, my friend does it for me. It’s not good when she’s away on holiday though haha
The Kitty goes with everything Patti! Have a great week!
I love palazzo pants. They feel so glamorous.
Your outfit, with the floral top and floral boots, is fab.
Very elegant and very Katherine look, Patti! Adorable blouse, what a great find! Thanks for your tip on linen. I dry mine in the machine usually, but maybe it’ll last longer done your way?
Love this look Patti, great trousers 🙂 Thanks for hosting.
A lovely, relaxed look! I have similar wide-leg linen pants in white, also with a comfortable stretchy wide waistband. Trying to decide whether to pack them for my trip to NYC. 🙂
Thanks so much for hosting!
Oh, those booties sticking out down there makes me want to lift those pant legs! Great look. I like the low waist too. Thanks for the linkup. xo
That blouse is so pretty Patti! Have a great week xx
Patti those Palazzo pants look so amazing on you <3
Have a fab start in the week :-*
I love flair and palazzo pants. I’ve made a few and thrifted a few but such a good style to have for today’s linkup. Have a great week!
Funny because I just bought a pair of linen trousers yesterday!! I used to hate the fact that they wrinkled so much, but I’ve decided that wrinkles are just fine—on my clothes and my face!!
It’s never a bad goal to have style like a Hepburn! 😀
Thanks for the link up, Patti!
Great trousers, Patti! Thanks for the link up…have a wonderful week!
