One of my favorite style silhouettes is a voluminous, flowy dress or skirt, with no restrictions on dancing, or eating. I love a slightly funky look, surrendering the waist. I might add some offbeat footwear to keep the funky going all the way down.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

So I was delighted to receive this black dress from the clothing designer Eva Trends. I appreciate Eva Trends’s choice to work with natural fabrics like cotton and silk, and to size all their pieces for a range of women’s shapes. They offer elegant neutrals, like my black cotton dress, and gorgeous colorful prints as well. It’s not clothing you’ll find at the Mall; Eva Trends’s pieces will inspire you to experiment and to feel free and funky.

The Ribbon Hem Maxi dress fits nicely at the neckline and shoulders, then flows out to be as big or narrow as you like. You can roll the sleeves up or down, and tie up the ribbon hem any way you like.

The Ribbon Hem dress calls for some non-traditional accessories, like my steampunk cuff and colorful ankle socks. I wore two long pendants (thrifted ages ago) because they capture the rich hippie look.

I feel completely authentic. It would be easy to style this dress over leggings or skinny jeans, or dress it up with chunky pearls and sleek boots.

The cotton fabric is seamed for more texture and interest.

Travel on over to Eva Trends, and take 15% off your purchase when you use code PAT15.
