I caved and bought a tourist tee on our recent cruise. Pink! and with words on it, not my usual choices. It still looks like me, though, because I tucked it into a denim skirt (similar) and wore my favorite bracelet. And I was running out of clean tops.
My husband Sandy realized when we got aboard that he’d forgotten all his “Skipper shirts” (that’s what we call his Hawaiian style button-downs). He was so sad, but we made it though by re-washing the one he was wearing. And buying him a couple of tourist tees, too.
We had the best time cruising. As usual, the most fun was in spontaneous activities. We skipped the “organized” events and picked up the ping pong paddles (Sandy plays left handed to give me a chance) and mini-golf clubs. We read for hours on the “adults only” swimming deck, only getting up for a dip in the hot tub, or to get a rum runner. Esto es vivir.
