Visible Monday #68: Minor Color Blocking

Welcome to Visible Monday #68! If you want to participate, it’s so

I don’t wear bright colors very often, but I like the color blocking trend. Here’s a muted version I put together from my closet and felt good in. The GAP Body tank is pre-blocked (ahh, lazy!). I have it in two colors; it’s as soft as jammies.

I paired the top with a simple black layering tee and favorite gray pencil skirt. The silver square pendant is thrifted, as is the green bangle. Simple and Visible for a cheerful day at the office. (Disclosure: This outfit was pre-recorded, as in real time I am in The West Village, NYC, in a cozy sweater and jeans, drinking English Breakfast tea!)

The scarf/shawl comes in handy for frigid offices. You know what I’m talking about.

  1. I just started following you, and I love the Visible Mondays! I'm so inspired by everyone's style, and can't wait to go shopping and revamp my own closet.

    For Visible Monday, do you have to have a blog? I have an Etsy shop and a Facebook page for it, but no blog. I'd love to participate (when I decide on a really fab outfit).

  35. I like the color blocking a lot but I do not like the tank top. 

    Even with the t-shirt underneath it's too casual for someone who isn't at a rock concert in 100 degree heat, plus it doesn't do anything to play up your pretty-darn-good-for a woman-over50 figure.

    How about a shirt of that color in a more figure-flattering style on your thrift list?
