Visible Monday #119: Blooms In Winter

Welcome to Visible Monday #119! If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

Why not wear florals in December? (And anyway, it’s still about 78 degrees here, and I *might* be in Australia). I really like a dark floral print like this one for Fall/Winter, and paired with dark tights it looks just right.

The dress was a smokin’ bargain from Lands End clearance. I added a very vintage GAP leather belt and Tsubo booties (similar) to boost the cool-weather feeling. And once again, the guitar-hat makes an appearance, always a jaunty accent.

Bloom year-round.

Now, let’s see what you’re wearing, Visible Women!!

The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple!

  1. Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
  2. Include a link to Not Dead Yet Style somewhere in your post. Please leave a comment, too, so we know you had a good time.
  3. Go to the bottom of this post and click on this cute little link:

  13. Ahh, I love your guitar hat, set at a jaunty angle, Patti! And I love the colours and gorgeous rose print of your dress. I can't think of a single reason not to wear florals all year round, can you? A perfect look, so very you. xxxx

  28. Love this dress!! It looks "wintery" but appropriate for winter in Florida!!

  29. I love the colours in this dress. Gorgeous with your complexion and hair.

Do not for one minute complain about that weather! We got our first snow storm of the year and are now buried. My husband and I have booked a flight out to Florida…so we want the good weather : )

First time I will be in your lovely state. We will be in the north on the east coast in a place called Flager Beach. Some very small quiet old fashioned spot, or so we read in the paper.

I love your "jaunty" hat! LOL

    bisous

  30. Perfect floral for winter, a lovely color palette. And love Tsubo…wore a pair of Tsubo booties for so long, my husband threw them in the trash on vacation a couple of years ago. I literally wore them out!

  31. Patti, everything about this look is just beautiful on you – the print, the silhouette, the accessories – wonderfully put together. I think it's one of my favourite outfits of yours!

  35. Patti–you know me, there are no rules. Florals in winter? Why NOT! Besides, i know its still like summer for you down there–lucky you! And I wear florals here with my winter duds just so I can escape from the sheer dreariness of the winter here. xoxo

  36. I love it! I think the color palette is very Fall/Winter – and very flattering, too! I'm sitting here in 38 degree temps so excuse me if I don't feel too bad for you LOL 😉
