Sometimes it’s the color, or the feel, or the drape, and sometimes it’s the shape that makes us love a piece of clothing. The structure of a Birkin style bag, the outline of a vintage peplum jacket, or in this case: the crisp lines of a Little Black Dress.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

I found this architectural dress in a thrift store somewhere, I can’t remember as it’s been many years. The maker is unknown, but the sewing is nicely done. The stand-up collar reminds me of Jackie Kennedy’s 1960’s dresses, but it’s modern. I feel like a powerful woman wearing it, like “don’t mess with me, my dress has a superpower!” 😊

I’m wearing new hair, the Sweet Talk by Gabor, in pure silver. I’m not sure I love pure silver yet, but I do love the cut of the hair and the contrast with the deepest black dress.

The steampunk pendant is an old thrift find, and both bracelets are vintage. The lace-up wedge shoes, however, are having their first appearance. They’re my “Florida winter” shoes by Sofft.

Yes, it’s still 88 degrees here so no topper is needed. It’s supposed to drop to 82 today, woo-hoo!

All cats are divas, and should be adorned accordingly. 😊
