I like to wear wardrobe basics mixed up with statement pieces. That’s been my style for many years, although I now lean harder on the statement pieces. Not dead yet, and all that. This wrap blouse is just the right amount of statement for a casual day-around-town.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

I picked up this lantern-sleeve blouse in St. Pete at my favorite consignment shop, Revolve. It’s a brand I don’t know, Gracia. I love the way it creates a nice waistline, and the balloon sleeves (Seinfeld’s poet shirt, anyone?) make it fun to wear. The cargo pants were thrifted here at the Molly Mutt shop, for about $2. I don’t often wear cargo style, but these grabbed me, and the drawstring hem is cool.

The wrap can be tied in the back, like here, or to the front, like below.

I’m wearing my new peep-toe sandals by Sofft. I’m not affiliated with the company, but just this summer I’ve purchased three pair of them, including some great sneaker-oxfords. I think I found my comfortable shoe holy grail! Their prices are reasonable too, especially on sale.

Playing with PicMonkey filters. I’m now in Ancient Greece.

  3. Love that top on you!

Sofft shoes really are comfortable, and very durable for the price.

  4. This wrap top makes such a nice statement! I love the puffy sleeves and subtle stripe. I would have never thought to style this with cargo pants, but I really like the relaxed, cool vibe.

  5. Even though you’re wearing a lot of fabric, it looks cool and comfortable. What a good reminder to hit my consignment shops, soon. P.S. Love the ancient Greece filter!

  6. I love that top! I’m featuring a tie front blouse on my blog today as well. They are so flattering on everyone! Such a pretty color and fun sleeves too.

  7. Patti I love that blouse! What a find. I need to check out that brand of shoes, I’m always on the hunt for comfortable and stylish shoes that are reasonably priced.

  9. Ah, comfortable shoes that also look great, that is tough to find. No wonder you bought several pairs.
I had a blouse similar to yours, but I just couldn’t make it work. Somehow it just didn’t fit right and the sash kept riding up, drove me crazy. Your blouse looks fab though. Makes me think I need to add a few statement pieces to my wardrobe, too.

  10. What a fun look, Patti! I love the floofiness of the blouse with the fun pants! You look marvelous! Thank you so much for hosting!

  11. I always think a statement blouse makes getting dressed so much easier. Then you don’t have to add anything else!!
I love that you’ve found some stylish yet comfy shoes—that’s the best thing ever!!

  12. Patti, fabulous outfit and you look marvelous. The detail of the sleeves is fun but with the calming blue color, the overall look of the top is modern and not too flashy. Don’t you find that the choice of knotting the wrap around ties either in front or back seems to double your styling options? Thanks for sharing this delightful ensemble and for your creative inspirations. I hope that you’re having a wonderful weekend.

  13. I pretty much love chambray anything but your blouse is a style I’ve been thinking about making for myself-I even have the pattern and do have the fabric picked out. I know Soffts are super comfortable. I think I may actually have a pair somewhere back in my closet! We’re on the same page with this one-I love it.
