Knits are your style friends. If you like wearing them, a collection of cozy tees, skirts, and dresses can become your unofficial “uniform” every day. Knits are friendly because they: are usually washable; don’t need ironing; come in a wide price range; and allow for fettuccini food-babies. Light to medium weight knits can be worn all year. And when they get tired, they make wonderful lounge clothes.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

The first layer here, on a gorgeous Spring day, is a navy knit Eileen Fisher dress (thrifted, similar). The top layer is a super-soft tee I found at the Molly Mutt Thrift. It’s by Religion, and I found they’re a young women’s brand, on the pricey side. I can feel the quality in the cotton.

If you like to cover your hands all day (?), this tee is up your alley.

The bead necklace is thrifted, and vintage 70’s – 80’s. I like that it makes a horizontal line to play off the stripes on my sleeves. The black platform heels are thrifted, and by Gentle Souls. My hair is the Wiki by Ellen Wille.

Kitty has swiped my glasses.

Now, let’s see what’s in your closet, Visible Women.

The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:

    1. Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
    2. Go to the bottom of this post and click on the InLinkz button “Add Your Link”. It should open a new page.
    3. In the “Next Step”, you crop the pic (easy tool) you want to display, and you’re done!
    4. Visit a few other bloggers, to make new friends and increase your own following.

  2. Thanks for the style advice re layering Patti – it’s not something I do much of, but you’re clearly at ease with it. Wishing you a lovely week ahead and thanks for the link up party!

  3. I don’t often wear knit tops, as I’m more of a cardigan girl, but I’m sure they count as knitwear too! Love the sleeves on your tops, and extra long sleeves can be a godsend when it’s cold! xxx

  4. The sleeves on your top are so fabulous, I love them.
I’ve only ever wore woolens under sufferance but it’s been so cold here this winter I’m starting to like them! xxx

  5. I love that dress Patti. Reminds me of a Gucci trend post on www that I saw earlier today! xxx Thanks for hosting and wishing you a lovely week. I have been totally and thoroughly enjoying the laziest Easter holidays ever with Netflix, dog walks and delicious breakfasts with pancakes 🙂 Sabina

  6. Yeah, knits are definitely my friend too, and my favourite tops are ones that cover my hands, which is not always practical, but I love that look. Great T! Thanks for the linkup, Patti.

  7. You are right, light knits are fabulous. A lot of my students have these T-shirts that have extra long sleeves with a whole for the thumb. They are perfect for Alaska as they can prolong the time not to have to wear gloves or mittens. In Florida, they are perfect to protect the hands from the sun and from age spots. They are cool too. You look great in that shirt.

  8. Gentle Souls make wonderful shoes – I love those ones. Looking lovely in blue, Patti! Thanks for the “help me to understand this” tip – nice!

  9. You’ve given me ideas on how to style some of the Eileen Fisher knits that have been waiting for some inspiration. I do love how the necklace reflects the stripes on the sleeve. As always you’re classic with a fabulous twist! ❤️

    Hugs,
    Sherry

  10. Such an easy going and pretty outfit for the first day of Spring. For some reason, I don’t see the link…maybe it’s my computer today, don’t know.

    • thanks for the heads-up Terri! and you look lovely in a smart floral dress, xo
