I like to post an outfit for Spunky Chateau’s Thursdays are for Thrifting. It’s not hard to find a thrifted piece in my wardrobe! So I chose a favorite skirt by Viola, and paired it with a navy long sleeve tee.
My slightly creative touch was a print cotton scarf (GAP) as a belt/sash, and I love the way the colors mixed with the skirt. All is well, we do middle-age Vogue-like poses, husband takes a bunch of shots, and I’m off to work.
When I get home I see that all the pics are really blurry, as in almost indistinguishable. I had already semi-disrobed following a delicious spaghetti dinner at Pappagallo‘s Italian restaurant. I was able to salvage half this picture, and “sharpen” it with Paint.Net (free program).
Ah well, I love my photographer, he is handsome and brave. Perhaps too much strong tea for breakfast, for both of us?
Ever have a photo-disaster day?
And today, another email! Hang in there, dear Ms. P. Blogger has been having a problem, that much I have discovered!
Thank you Anika's Mom. I had a mystery photo today too!
Thanks, my friend.
Thank you Susan. I don't know – they are usually good with machines, right? : >
That's the right ratio, Debbi, I think! Same here.
I am sending you an email : >
You are so sweet!
Thanks! I know what you mean about the darker days – it makes photography much more challenging.
Hmmm, I haven't though about a video camera . . . Your pics always look fine to me : >
Hi Angie! Good idea, a smaller pic would be better! Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks Tammy. I am thinking about investing in a tripod.
Hee! They do love to get involved in the photography!
Such a cute skirt! I know all about blurry pics. I take pics sometimes that you can't even make out what it is I was photographing!!! Just be happy he takes your pictures for you.
Patti! You look FABULOUS from the waist down! LOL I've had waayyy too many photo disasters!! ~Serene
Nice ensemble, and I love your shoes. What is it about men and taking pictures!
You did great combining the scarf with the skirt and top.
As to the pictures. We take a lot of pics and I am lucky if one or two come out good enough to publish.
I have you in my blogroll, but I cannot find the google gadget to be a proper follower.

this skirt is so amazing- love it.
my pictures are a little blurry most of the time, because of using a tripod to shoot my outfits. in summertime it's okay but in wintertime my shots get very blurry. i feel a little afraid of the darkish days in upcoming winter… 🙁

I love this color combo. It looks great together! Every photo session is a disaster for me. The only way I can get a decent picture is to use my little flip-video camera then scroll through the stills till I find one that I'm not scowling or rolling my eyes in.
You saved one photo to show us your outfit so mission accomplished. I've also had days like yours that camera doesn't work well with me resulting in blurry images .What I do is post the smallest size possible. The scarf is a genious touch as it mixes well with both the color of the shirt and the green of the skirt. Bravo!
The skirt and scarf/belt looks great. I've been doing it for a while and haven't got tired of it yet.
My pictures are always a little blurry. I use a tri pod so I have no one to blame!
The skirt and sash look made for each other!
My blurry pics are usually caused by the four-legged child getting curious…..
