I’m doing a 30-for-July-for-work wardrobe challenge. It’s been pretty easy, so one conclusion I have come to is: I have too many clothes. Nah, scratch that. I have way more clothes than I need to properly adorn myself. Having achieved midlife, I give myself permission to own more than I absolutely need, so as to account for moods and flights of fancy, and hot flashes, etc.
The creative and fun part of the wardrobe challenge is remixing. Today I am recycling my off-white cotton jacket with a familiar knit maxi. Underneath is a simple ruffled tee that’s almost the same shade as the skirt. So I’m monochromatic again, but I don’t mind. Somehow it feels cooler, temperature-wise.
|Jacket: JCrew via eBay, Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Tee: GAP
Belt: Guess, thrifted, Shoes, Kenneth Cole Reaction
Are you an enthusiastic remixer? Do you give yourself mini-challenges just for the heck of it? Please share below, I’d love to hear from you.
Good news! We’ve made Visible Monday much easier to participate in. We added some nifty linking and picture cropping tools that are so easy for the user, you’ll hardly know you did it.
Just do your usual post on Monday with something in it that makes you feel wonderful/visible. It could be clothing, shoes, a handbag, jewelry or a lipstick color . . . whatever moves you. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style somewhere in your post, so your readers can find you here.
After you’ve published your post, come back to my Visible Monday post and click on the cool little linky at the bottom of the page. It will look like this:
Type in the URL of your post, not your general blog URL. Then the name of your blog, then your email (the email will NOT be displayed).
In the “Next Step” you crop the pic (easy tool), and you’re done! You can post anytime up till midnight on Monday. I heart technology.
