Women shouldn’t have to follow a set of rules once they reach a certain age. However, the over-40 woman does develop the confidence to refine her own personal style and that’s what My Refined Style is all about!

It’s that wonderful time when a bunch of 40+ women get together and demonstrate our “Refined Style”. As I am a mostly-casual dresser, “refined” means just perfectly suited to my taste, figure and mood. It’s so great to be past the “rules” of dressing a certain way. All the fabulous women below enjoy a Refined and individual style!

This outfit makes me smile, a blend of modern and classic pieces, and a slightly sassy mood. I found these high-waisted, loose-fit crop jeans (similar) at the thrift and took a chance with them. Love! No fear of bending over and exposing one’s underthings, and great for tucking in a silky blouse. This blouse (sim)  is covered with baby deer, and has a wonderful 1940’s vibe.
