What do we think about pink for grown-up women? We think we love it, as evidenced by the awesome women at this week’s Visible Monday. We’ve got sweaters, toppers, coats, gloves and scarves in palest to hottest pink. I used to think it was “too strong” for me, but now I’m enjoying the cheery color.
As always, the first tip is: wear your pink things when you want to, styled the way you like it, and own the look.
And there’s always room in my closet for a splash of pink:
Maggie from Thrift Shop Fashionista loves sharing her thrift scores, like this hot-hot pink sweater. The scarf adds lovely pattern. If you click through to her site, you’ll see Maggie’s quilted ivory jacket that makes the perfect finish.
Tiina of Elegance Revisited is, for one thing, walking in the snow (what is snow??). She’s added a pinky-purple cropped cardigan to her striped dress for great contrast with all the white around her. This is a simple way to add a vibrant color to your outfit.
Jessica of Elegantly Dressed And Stylish is, well, always elegantly dressed and stylish. Here she combines a pale pink vintage-style coat with mostly neutrals and then bam! the hot pink gloves. Those gloves will be gorgeous with any of Jess’s darker coats and cardigans too. So if you want to sneak up on pink, start with some gloves.
Anja of A Heart And Soul Story is wearing her pink leather jacket, and says why she likes it: “My blush pink leather jacket is such a great staple for autumn as it brings color to almost any outfit, light or dark.” Anja chose a pale scarf and dark legs/booties, to prove her theory.
And I did it too at Visible Monday – I went all out with a vivid wool jacket thrifted in NYC, over a Karina dress:
How do you like to style your pinks?
Stay fabulous,
Here’s more fab pieces for any age, inspired by the Visible women:

I love wearing pink, the brighter the better – with bright pink lipstick! (As seen in my blog post IN THE PINK! ) xx
Hi Patti, dont know how I missed this. THank you for the feature, I love this soft pink. Love the ladies you showed and their take on pink. I think your jacket is fabulous and also looks great! You could borrow my gloves too!
Enjoy your week, and Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks Patti for the great tip. A bright pink spot on a dull day. You inspired me to look out for some pink clothes / accessories. As Helen Hobden says, I have to find my shade of pink.
My pleasure Sana! Have fun searching for your pinks, xo
You look fantastic in that pink jacket Patti! I think there’s a shade of pink to suit everyone – my Mum looks great in a bright hot pink, but I think a dusky pale pink suits me better. I love Jessica’s coat with the brighter gloves.
Thanks Helen – Jess’s coat really is gorgeous, yeah? xo
I don’t have lots of pink in my wardrobe. More magenta probably.
Everyone looks smashing!
bisous

Thanks for the feature, Patti! It’s an honor to share the spotlight with some of my favorite bloggers, and to be introduced to a new one!
