Have I mentioned how much fun it is to be retired? As my father-in-law, age 94, often says, “I don’t know how I had time to go to work.”
I’m making an effort to dress with attention every day (well most days), as it gives me more energy and moxie. Have any of you retirees/fun-employed found the same?
Today, for example, was a frosty 65-degree Florida winter day. Perfect for a favorite wrap dress by Karina Dresses, tights and tall boots (similar). The boots were a super-steal from one of my NYC thrifts: they’re by Donald J. Pliner, made of leather and fabric inserts.
To fend off the cruel elements, I wore a thrifted velvet blazer (similar) and crocheted hat (similar; mine was made by a friend). A gorgeous necklace by Suzanne Carillo goes with everything I wear.
Dressed for lunch at the barbeque joint, and shopping for cat food (they are so indolent, I have to shop for them). |
Stay warm and fabulous,
