Did you miss us? The Visible Women who populated your Monday morning blog read? We are back after a relaxing summer, and announcing the return of Visible Monday for Monday, September 14th (actually it goes live the Sunday night before).
Visible Monday is an inclusive link-up; all ages, all genders, and species are welcome to participate. Our goal is to promote visibility, especially for those of us over 40. We seasoned souls are not going anywhere, and we still gild the lily and rock the Casbah.
The link party began in June 2011 as a remedy to some posts about the Invisible Woman (here, and here, for a start). We came up with the idea of a “Visible Day” in which we post an outfit, accessory, lipstick color, hairstyle, etc., that expresses our Joy of Being (Physically) Visible.
Visible Monday started with three or four participants, and has grown over the years to more than one hundred. Here are some gorgeous Visibles over the years, some of whom no longer blog but are not forgotten, I love you all:
