It’s almost Spring, yeah? (It’s been warm here in Florida for a month, but Spring still matters.) New growth, new buds on the trees, the retirement of heavy boots and scarves, the surfers return to the sea. I especially enjoy the longer days, so I can ride my bike until evening. My wardrobe doesn’t change much until the dog days of June arrive, then we in the South dress to not-die in the heat.

Green means Spring. This bright grass green top is fun to wear, with its chiffon asymmetrical hem. It’s courtesy of Diane Gilman fashions and I’ve worn it many times. It looks great over slim jeans or a pencil skirt, but here I broke the proportion “rules” and did full over full. The black tulle skirt (similar) is an old favorite, found on eBay a couple of years ago. I just can’t quit you, tulle skirt. Necklace created by the talented Suzanne Carillo, and old boots (sim) from Cydwoq.

I recolored your sketch for a demo at school! Your outfit is now purple!
Expect a surprise on 3/17, St Patti’s Day! (heehee)
I clicked on the link for the top, but the top over there is shorter and doesn’t have the double hem detail. Sigh.
Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. Tomorrow is the 50th. I hope you can make it. This top is so interesting. Where do you find all that!
That’s a really great shade of green on you, Patti, and I love the shape of the top.
Made me chuckle that you are talking about the temperatures getting warmer, when I’ve just done a post wearing a fur jacket and featuring vintage knitted undies! xxx
it’s a fabulous shade of green and lovely outfit!
That’s a gorgeous blouse…LOVE the color!!!
love your whole look! perfect combo!
Yes, I love that we both wore bright green in our outfits today! Spring is in the air! 😀
This shade of green is adorable, I love it, it’s one of my favorite colors and it looks so great on you Patti =) Kisses

This shade of green sings of spring! I look forward to it, not just for the leaves to come back but for the longer days. Thanks for the linkup and the punch is exceptionally refreshing!!
Love the green. Great color!
oh you wild thang, Patti. Tulle is like flannel. It goes with any/ every thing, in my opinion!
Loving those booties Patti! Make sure to hop on over to THE SHOE AND TELL LINK UP on the blog today to show those off.
Adorable skirt! I love the asymmetrical hem line and the bit of sheer fabric peaking out as well 🙂
What an amazing colour on you!
And hey! The necklace works so well with it : )
Hope things are settling down in your life now.
The color of that top and the necklace is gorgeous! And I like how the long top looks over the fuller tulle skirt. The silhouette reminds me of the dropped waist dresses of the 1920s. Very flattering!
Loving the green with St. Patrick’s Day coming up! Such a chic look… Enjoy your week.
I could very well be the only one who’s not welcoming Spring with open arms 🙂 I prefer it when days are chilly and we need to bundle up. I suppose that stems from my being from the tropics, I eschew anything above 20 Celsius as much as possible. And it appears that this year, in Houston, we’ve gone straight from Winter to Summer, completely bypassing Spring anyways. Pray for me!! Temperatures aside, we’re both wearing green today albeit mine are pants 🙂 this colour suits you, Patty, suits you to a tee xoxo
Sending cool, green prayers from New England!
What a fantastic look! You really do know how to put an outfit together!
The top looks almost more summery than spring-y to me. I mean, I think it’s perfect for wearing in March, but the color reminds me of summer rather than spring. It looks a bit like the ocean to me.
I have a new-leaf-green cashmere sweater that I’m very fond of, but I can’t seem to find any pictures. So you will just have to imagine it. While you’re at it, please imagine out the burnt spot on the sleeve.
that green is so fun and perfect for st patricks day/march!
Southern Elle Style
The green top looks super chic with the flimsy skirt – the effect is so feminine! Have a fab week ahead!
Yes! Spring is coming!!!
Loving that shade of green on you! the shape is fabulous and works brilliantly with Suzanne’s gorgeous pendant and the floaty skirt. Send some Spring this way, it keeps trying to snow. xxx
I have recently noticed the roses are budding, I can’t wait for Spring! I too am styling green today, maybe it is our way of heralding in the Spring season. I hope it looks half as good on me.
Looks like we’re wearing the same beautiful color of green today. Looks great on you, Patti!
Beautiful green sweater! I enjoyed the unexpected mix with your tulle skirt and boots. Enjoy your week and the warm weather!
You know how much I love bold colours and this green looks just so beautiful on you. Happy Monday! Love, Kirsten xx
That color is beautiful on you Patti! And I absolutely love it layered over the tulle skirt…genius idea!
Gorgeous colour on you Patti! I have a yoga top in that colour and it makes me feel so…zesty?!
Patti the colour of that top is stunning on you!! We’ve had daffodils out since Christmas Day which is unheard of in the UK, but then the poor things got a bit chilly when the cold weather kicked in in January. Can’t wait to be able just to go out without gloves on now…!!
Thank you for hosting, have a lovely week & see you later at #iwillwearwhatilike!
Glorious shade of green , dear Patti.

love the spring green sweater. I recently passed on buying a sweater in a similar color and now I wish I hadn’t.
In my post today I am talking about beautiful bright green for Spring. Your tunic is lovely and the perfect shade for St. Patrick’s.
You do look great in that spring green! I’m excited about spring too! And for some green to show up here! 🙂
Thanks for Visible Monday, Patti!! Have a wonderful springlike week!
Not a fan of the oompa loompa top but the skirt would be a keeper for me.
Thank you again for hosting this great hop!
Such a fresh and vibrant colour on you Patti and the unusual hemline, necklace and booties are such lovely eye-catching details. I’m so happy Spring is on its way now!
That green is such a lovely color on you, Patti!
I’d probably wear that skirt every single day if I had it!!
Well, my cute friend, we must have been on the same thinking track, about spring and clothing. I do love your green tunic and the asymmetrical cut and it actually works so well with this full over full put together. Perfect grounding with those boots! Yay for spring!
You look good in green, and the tulle skirt is a fun complement to the top! I can’t believe it’s pretty much Spring already. I’m starting to think about sandals, but I need to have a pedicure first. If I had those Cydwoq boots I’d wear them all year!
Lovely shade of spring green Patti, looks great 🙂 I am so excited for spring! I have a snap of the blossoming trees on my latest post too 🙂 hugs xxx
Love these tulle skirts. I have been thinking about buying one, and I wondered if I would carry it off due to my age! But you have shown here Patti how it can be worn and look great. I am going to have to get me one.
Beautiful top! The green is beautiful on you! I like how you played with the proportions!
Love the green on you , you know I am a fan! The chiffon and cut are so flattering and I am so ready for spring. Tired of the cold.

Oh, spring, can’t wait! I’m so sick of winter (and snow) by now. That’s a lovely shade of green you’re wearing.
Loving this shade of green!!
What a pretty color sweater. It reminds me of pistachio ice cream. You look sweet in it. Have a lovely week, Patti!
