I don’t own any actual Pucci pieces, except for an adorable designer undergarment I bought on eBay years ago. But wow, this fab dress is close enough for me. The print and colors are distinctive, and called out to me at the Molly Mutt Thrift. And with my volunteer discount, this beauty cost $4.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

The actual maker is Diane Gilman, a designer who makes great-fitting jeans, and sells them on Home Shopping Network. This dress is lined, and 100 percent silk, and feels like a dream to wear – thanks Diane. It’s a little short on me, so tights are needed.

I enjoy surrendering the waist with this dress, so it retains a mod 1960’s Pucci shape (similar). I went with cheeky short hair (the Gala by Gabor) to harmonize with the vintage feel. Above, I added a vintage 60’s swing jacket in hot pink, thrifted in NYC; below the dress stands alone. Love the bright color and easy shape.

  1. What a great look, Patti. I love it all: the dress with its fabulous print combined with the black tights and shoes. And the hair! xxx

  2. Patti you look …I am at a loss for words. You look like a million dollars. Beyond fabulous. And it is very extraordinary and stylish to wear the wig to give the whole outfit its spectacular flair.

I own some Pucci espresso cups that feature different European cities. I quite like them 🙂

Have a lovely week and thank you for the link-up. xo Sabina

  3. Wow, new hair! Different but so sweet! Always good to have a change, I think. And that’s a great dress. Thanks so much for hosting this x

  4. Awesome Pucci-esque dress at the low, low price of $4! But at any price, this is a truly winning piece. The mod feel is loud and clear. And the Gala on your head adds to the vibe. Looks fantastic! Thanks, as always, for the linkup.

  5. Fabulous styling Patti! This dress is beautiful, the colours are soft and appealing and I do love the addition of your short swing jacket – a lovely look indeed. Thanks for the link up party once again x

  6. Such a fun, retro, “mod” print. This dress is perfect for your petite frame and the pastels are nicely zapped with those bits of black which I think add more sophistication.

  7. You are looking all kinds of groovy here!

It is wild to see you with straight hair.

I actually found a Pucci dress while thrifting. What a score! Probably my best so far next to those Stella McCartney shoes.

I had no idea Pucci made underwear!

Don’t hate me, I own a Pucci maxi and sold a Pucci velvet jacket earlier this year – if it had been my size I’d never have parted with it. xxx

  16. I love Pucci! Don’t own any, not even anything ’almost Pucci’, though. Maybe one day…
