Nothing is perfect, agreed. But there are days that just seem to flow with all your favorite things, and that gets close enough to a perfect day for me.
I have two versions, although that hardly seems fair. One kind of perfect day is in New York City. It’s Spring or Fall, so we can wear light jackets and scarves, and find a sunny spot in Washington Square Park to drink coffee and read for a while. Then the thrift stores open, and I find treasures such as small town Florida has never seen. Then a long walk down Hudson Street, taking in the old city beauty and young crowds. Finally, we get to the Ear Inn on Spring Street in Soho, for my evening Salad Caprese, a large tequila on the rocks, and a jazz quartet.
My small Florida beach town perfect day isn’t very different, except there’s no magical city surrounding me. Good coffee, good books, a bike ride, volunteering at the Molly Mutt Thrift store, Italian dinner with Sandy outdoors, and an episode of Stranger Things on Netflix. Of course, the cats are healthy and all my loved ones are safe.
What are the elements of your perfect day? I hope you’re enjoying them now. See you at Visible Monday. xo

I do trust all of the concepts you’ve presented on your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for newbies. Could you please prolong them a bit from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.|
You look so lovely and relaxed here. And warm! Nice to see given the onslaught of slush we’re having in Boston right now.
Slush in April is not right! But soon the flowers . . . xo
Your perfect New York City day sounds perfect to me too, and if I could share it with my friends there, that is icing on the cake. A perfect day for me here would involve having breakfast out, some reading, couch time with my cat, thrift shopping and netflix so not so far from yours.
I forgot! couch time with the cat(s). xo
I love that first day. If I can do that with girlfriends who understand and care about me, my life would be sweet. Remembering that time we went to the Ear together!
ah me too! that was a peak experience. xox
I’d happily take either of those days : )
Thrift shopping, art galleries, something really good to eat, friends, loved ones and a warm pug. Yep…oh and a husband that doesn’t live on the other side of the world ; )
bisous
Suzanne
yes, let’s get that husband closer! xo
It’s a wonderful show – I love the kids. xo
Your versions of a perfect day sound perfect to me too! And we love Stranger Things! Can’t wait for the next season.
