Visible Monday #37: A Go-To Knit Dress For Versatility

Welcome to Visible Monday #37! If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the simple how-to.

I really enjoy wearing this simple Eileen Fisher knit dress. It’s so effortless, easy-care, and a great backdrop for accessories. Lucky for me, I discovered it at a consignment store during my NYC trip . . . for $30. Sometimes, the shopping goddesses smile.  : >

Today I chose a vintage scarf, tied willy-nilly (I need to study those scarf tutorials!) as a colorful accent. My so-cheap bangle bracelet added more color and I wore my new tiger-print flats. I think the overall look is approachable, pulled together and age appropriate. For a more festive occasion, I’d replace the scarf with sparkly necklaces, and the flats with open-toe wedge heels.

I wouldn’t mind a bunch of these dresses, in navy, ivory, red and black!

Now, let’s see what you’re wearing!!

  1. "Collection closed"???? but it's only noon PDT Monday!!
Criminy. Please let me know if you open it back up — I've got a doozy for you!

    You look lovey, as always.

  2. I love! that dress! I am going to have to look for something like that! It looks so comfortable. And I swear that I have the same bangle. 🙂

  3. The dress fits you perfectly and I can see why you would want it in every color.  The tiger flats are the perfect finishing touch.

  4.  Hello BAngele – I am not sure what's happening on your end, sorry. Once your URL is accepted, the cropping is an automatic procedure, and super-simple. Perhaps you could try on a different computer, or using a different browser? Sometimes that does the trick. Thanks for stopping by, and I do hope you can get through!

  5. You look just fabulous in this, Patti! I love that dress on you. I agree, it's hugely versatile. Adore the shoes too.

Thank you so much for doing Visible Monday – I've met so many awesome bloggers! Oh, and I don't seem to have had any issues with the pictures since we got a new computer, so I guess chalk that up to out-of-date tech.

  6. Willy-nilly is my favorite way to style a scarf!  That is a beautiful dress and looks lovely on you

  8. Hello,  I want to be part of your Visible Monday but have no idea how to include a link to Not Dead Yet Style on my post.  It would not accept my URL for some reason and even if it did how would I know how to crop a picture on my blog to send to you?  Obviously I am new to this and on a slow learning curve.

  9. I want to find something Eileen Fisher so bad!!  This looks great on you and is just perfect for so many occasions.  Great thrifting!!   Internet has returned!!
