It’s a lovely day in the neighborhood, sunny and, by Florida standards, not at all humid. A great day to take a bike ride, or walk around downtown, popping into the thrifts/pubs. A great day to dress in a groovy vintage floral skirt, and celebrate being Visible.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

This skirt is special because I found it while thrifting in Toronto with friends Suzanne and Ally. We thought it had a late 70’s vibe, or maybe was a repro of that era’s fun psychedelic patterns. I wear it a lot, because is 1) looks cool, 2) pulls on at the waist, easiest skirt ever, and 3) I can wash it in the sink and wear it the next day.

The lipstick today is Maybelline Super Stay in the color “Lover.” Hair is the Paige by Paula Young.

Today I’m wearing a thrifted James Perse tee, super-soft, with my “ON” (also can say “NO”) crystal pin, a gift from the gorgeous Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb. An industrial vintage cuff and thrifted leather sling-backs complete the groovy vibe.

This skirt is great for cooler days too, with a bright red sweater and boots.

I crown her Queen of the Balcony and all she surveys, and the dependencies thereunto.

Now, let’s see what’s in your closet, Visible Women.

The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:

  1. Wow, that skirt is psychedelic and very cool on you, Patti. I luv your on/ no pin. Perfect for every occasion.

  2. I love that kind of skirt. Suzanne gave me one that’s similar – she’s such a lucky charm when it comes to shopping and style. They are easy to pull on, easy to wash, and look great. Great psychedelic vibe, and I especially like the accessorizing you do with this. NO or ON. Hahaha! Thanks for the linkup.

  3. Patti, you look fantastic! Just extra beautiful! I love this gorgeous printed skirt and your thrifted shoes. And Queen of the Balcony is out of competition! <3

  4. The print of the skirt is very unique and the colors are so rich. This looks like a really versatile piece!

  5. It’s so fun that you picked out this print too as I currently have the dress version of this skirt for sale in my store.

Mondays are for “Calgon take me away” but I’ve changed that to “Chocolate take me away”.

My pug is the master of the land up here ; P

  12. As most of the styles you put together, I love this one too. We are finally having good weather here. So cheers to taking some time outside. Thanks, for hosting. I really didn’t do my blog this week, I let Michelle, my daughter, take it over for today.

  13. Such a special skirt for so many reasons, not the least of which–it is AWESOME! Hopefully Queen Kitty is as benevolent as she is cute. 🙂

I think I may have posted my link-up once before. Forgive the duplication but I couldn’t pass up the Groovy Theme.
