Mixed prints have no age limit! I am sure it’s on one of the ubiquitous lists of what not to wear over 50, but I still wear and enjoy mixed prints. The mixing can create completely novel looks, and mixing gives my closet regulars something new to do.
Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!
I adore these checked trousers, gifted to me by Melanie. They’re the perfect summer weight, they swoosh in the breeze (what breeze?) and they look good with every kind of cropped top. I usually wear them with a tee, plain or graphic, and half-tucked to show off the high waist.
The floral print of the cropped blouse (thrifted, similar) sets off the checks nicely, and introduces some fun color. I’ve probably worn this blouse 50 times, as it somehow “goes” with everything.
Are you a pattern mixer? No wrong answers, of course. Show us in the link-up!

Thank you Alison, and your style is far from boring! Love that zebra print maxi you’re sharing today, xox.
ooo Patti, what is the name of your hand to face pose? It’s just smashing! As is your ensemble. Very cool and breezy. Like you said, if there was a breeze.
LOL, I shall call it the “the pensive woman” – it’s actually the face i make when choosing between two cat foods. Thanks for coming by, your new jumpsuit is all that! xox
Your legs look a million miles long in those pants!
I love the print mixing. For a woman that often wears solid colours you aced this.
I must try out the modelling hand by the face thing.
