February Photo-A-Day is Fun! And What I Wore

Fab blogger Chantelle at FatMumSlim is sponsoring the February Photo-a-Day Challenge. Just go here to read the super-simple guidelines, then start posting and sharing. As you can clearly see, I am already breaking the rules, because I am starting on February 2nd. I have been accused of being slightly oppositional, but really, I just forgot to start yesterday!

My “words” for today are from one of my favorite people, Albert Einstein. As I’ve revealed before, I have pretended that he was my secret father, because he died the month before I was born. And we have similar hair. Anyway, I love this: “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.”

Here’s my outfit of the day. I like this colorful blouse, because it’s low-cut enough to not overwhelm me with its patterns. It’s also slim-cut, so it’s not an overkill of pattern plus volume. The simple black skirt is a recent thrift score. It’s from Banana Republic, 100% silk, nice and swishy. Have I ever said how much I love booties this winter? I love them! these are by Tsubo, and they are so, so comfortable.

Hope you can join in on Photo-A-Day, even if only for a few days. I really enjoy sharing themes with fellow bloggers and readers.

  1. The article is well organized. I visit the writer has
a real knack for this particular topic. I like that subject, and I
am in constant search of new bits and the most recent news.
I really loved that one, as it’s full of fascinating facts and
it is a kind of article. I spent only a few minutes reading, and because of well-structured text, so I understand
    it totally. Thanks!

  2. Patti, will you please stop by my blog and vote for me.  If you have time.  It would really mean a lot to me.  ok now on to your outfit…your blouse is just so eye catching and the print is beautiful.  Your belt and boots tie it all together, one of my most favorites on you.  That blouse can be worn in any season.  Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

  3. The silk skirt is such a great find, and I love how you have repeats of the boot color throughout your ensemble.  Very classy

  4. Einstein is one of my favorites!  I began reading his quotes a few years ago and was astonished at how "human" he was.  You look fabulous in this gorgeous print!  Hugs to you girly!  ~Serene

  5. The skirt was a great find and I love the blouse.  We often joke at our house that DH's hair looks like Einstein's and he has a bit of a reputation around town of being a "crazed scientist."

  6. Einstein is such an inspiration to me too, Patti!  Love his quotes.

I thought about doing the photo a day–I'm doing it anyway right now so I should link up.

Love the belt and the boots with the black~
