A just-right dress for any age. This was my outfit for Christmas Day, a colorful, high-waisted floral dress and funky boots. A dress is often the best, easiest solution for those what-to-wear occasions – in our case, dinner with friends at a riverfront restaurant. Simple to accessorize, no agonizing over how separates might fit together, and all the color decisions are made for you. 😊
Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!
This pretty and feminine frock is by Anthropologie (sim), and rented via Nuuly. If you want to try this clothing rental service, you can get a $20 discount off your first order with this link. Their choices often have a boho feel, as they’re affiliated with Anthro, but there are classic pieces too. The dramatic black bead necklace was made for me by the talented Suzanne.
The Chart House restaurant is one of our holiday favorites. The food, wine, and views of the Indian River lagoon are wonderful, and we’ve often seen a dolphin or manatee glide by.

Hello dear Sherry and happiest New Year to you. I hope to see you in person in 2020! I do encourage you to give Nuuly a try, even for just a month, to “experiment” with different pieces. Stay fabulous, xox.
You look so pretty. The coat is a nice addition–glad you got some cool weather to wear it! I just put my new nuuly order in yesterday. It was kind of disappointing that so many of my 1st choices weren’t available.
Hi Kim and Happy New Year to you! I loved looking through your picks – your color palette is warm and inviting. Same happens to me with Nuuly sometimes. xox
Hi! I love your dress! When I was reading your post, I noticed you went to a restaurant called The Chart House. We have one here in NJ. Don’t know if it’s the same owners (actualy it’s a chain) but we went several times to the one in Weehawken (NJ). It’s right on the river with wonderful views. The food is excellent too. Glad you had a very nice Christmas day with your friends. You looked fab! ARlene from NJ

Thank you Di, and back at you too! Your special occasion looks are lovely, xox.
This dress is so cool. You really rock it. If I had found it, I surely had bought it too. But to make it me I had cut of the ruffle hem. Why is that? Why do I always have to change s.th.?
Hi Nicole and thanks for coming over! i think it’s creative to change up our clothes, so you go and make any changes you like : > Have a Happy New Year, xox.
Oh, I luv that dress on you. It is just right, and I think just right for me too. And tell me about your boots. Are they too cool or what? And you’re wearing a coat in Fla? Actually it was 60 today in Chicago, and by that I mean it was warm.
Hey Pao and thanks! I love these old (at least seven years) Doc Marten boots for any day below 75 degrees. The trench coat was useful inside the frosty restaurant. You are having a heat wave in Chicago! xox
