These are stressful times in the world (and perhaps they always have been, only without the internet). On this important American holiday, I wish you all peace and love, and more understanding. And a little lace to lighten the mood.
Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post. |
I’m wearing a lace top by Modcloth (similar) as a layer over a tiered, sheer black dress I thrifted at the Molly Mutt. The stunning black bead necklace is crafted by Suzanne Carillo. And even though it’s 80+ degrees today, I love to wear my velvet floral booties (sim). They’re no hotter on my feet than a pair of sneakers, and they look so funky.
Now, let’s see what’s in your closet, Visible Women.
The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:
- Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
- Include a link to Not Dead Yet Style somewhere in your post.
- Go to the bottom of this post and click on the InLinkz button “Add Your Link”. It should open a new page.
- In the “Next Step”, you crop the pic (easy tool) you want to display, and you’re done!
Oh hey! Not Dead Yet Style is on Instagram! Please check it out when you have a moment: Instagram.
Stay fabulous,
Here are some fab Visible pieces to browse through:
Your hair looks GLORIOUS!!! The outfit is very pretty – the lace and ruffles are lovely without looking too “sweet”.
Patti, I love this entire look. That creative friend of ours and her necklaces are the best! I need to pull up more about the hair piece, it sounds wonderful.
LOVE your boots! Peace and love to you too!

Peace and love, peace and love, please, please, please. Love that photo!! Your hair looks fantastic. So does this outfit. And Suzanne’s piece tops it off so well. Thanks for the party again.
Peace and love back at you! Your new hair is fabulous, absolutely your own style. The lace tunic and Suzanne’s beads are totally hippy-chic
We had a Bank Holiday yesterday, too – an obviously it rained all day. Hey ho! Hopefully it’ll be wall to wall sunshine at our festival and it’ll be bare feet all weekend. I live in hope. xxx
Could not agree more Patti.
You are one cool chick though <3 and love the sheer dress and the embroidered boots with it. Love, Sabina
Patti, you’re one amazing woman.

That is a excellent way to layer a sheer dress! Love your look!
Whilst I love the immediacy that technology affords us these days (and I’m fairly certain I will appreciate it even more once Eve begins university in the Fall), it brings about a sense of urgency which is not always of a justifiable weight. I don’t know. It’s a 20/20 dilemma, Patti 🙂
p/s I keep thinking that for as long as I bring out the supposedly “heavy weather” stuff like boots and thicker cardigans, colder weather will return to Houston GRIN wishful thinking, I know.
pp/s LOVE the hair!!
Peace and Luv right back at ya, Patti. And you are rockin’. Luv sheer layers myself. And the wig thing. I’m even thinking about it now.
Happy Memorial Day!
Patti your hair looks great and I love the lace top with this fun skirt and funky boots.
Have a great week!

Summer and sneakers or booties? No, I just can’t. It’s sandal weather. And I finally found decent sandals last summer at one of the major tourist destinations in downtown LA: Olivera Street! Mexican Huaraches for only $20! (Must return and get more colors, seeing that sandal weather runs April – October here).

This is such a fun and fabulous look! You have totally inspired me to try layering my lace tops over a dress – a thought that had never crossed my mind.
LOVE the new hair! This is when I kind of wish my hair was still blond and not red. So much easier to buy things like this to change up my look and add some much needed volume.
The lace blouse goes so well with the boho necklace. Well done you!
bisous
Suzanne
You look great. The hair is fab. Thanks for the link.
Great look Patti – enjoy Memorial Day. We have a public holiday today too (UK) but not for any particular reason. Just habit. Gail
Peace and Love to you Patti and Happy Memorial Day!!

That hair piece is amazing. One can’t tell the difference. Great booties.
Patti, such a cool and funky look … it’s fabulous. And I’m with you about boots in warm weather. Sandals are not the only option. Peace out ✌and thanks for hosting.
