I’m a big skirt person (I try to curate them, but always end up adding more). They’re so versatile and easy to wear and more forgiving than trousers to a bit of weight fluctuation. And there are so many to lust after! Like this  vintage-print slim skirt in fall colors that I just bought from Suzanne’s shop (go here and check it out).

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

Always room in my closet for a pretty skirt (or I will make room, fear not):

The skirt is a lightweight fabric, and the perfect colors for Florida Fall and Winter. I’ll love it with a black cashmere tunic, tights and booties in November. The blouse I’m wearing today is thrifted (similar), a classic design by Theory. The wild booties are by Cydwoq (similar) and the stone bracelet (sim) was made by Suzanne herself.

The skirt looks great with a tucked shirt, and also very nice with a cropped top. Thanks, Suzanne.

I’m not out of focus! This is one of the “arty” settings on my Canon camera. I think it looks like a painting and I love the colors.

The guidelines to participate in the Visible Monday Link-Up are so simple:

    1. Whoever wants to can join in! Just compose a post that includes any outfit, accessory, piece of jewelry, hairstyle, cosmetic or other adornment that makes you feel more confident, alive and visible that day.
    2. Include a link to Not Dead Yet Style somewhere in your post.
    3. Go to the bottom of this post and click on the InLinkz button “Add Your Link”. It should open a new page.
    4. In the “Next Step”, you crop the pic (easy tool) you want to display, and you’re done!

Oh hey! Not Dead Yet Style is on Instagram! Please check it out when you have a moment: Instagram.

  1. I love that skirt! I do believe I was with Suzanne when she got. I can’t believe how many cool things she has in her shop – what an eye she has. And the arty photo really does look like a painting. It’s so much fun to fool around with effects. Thanks for the link-up, Patti.

  2. Wow Patti, I love the colors in this skirt, that blue really pops. You know I love skirts as well, and the theory blouse is lovely with it.Boy, if I had access to your thrift store, I would be in there often! Want to see those booties close up too, as always, lovely!!

    • You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The world hopes for more panitosase writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart.

    • I have really mixed feelings on Baltimore but The American Visionary Art Museum is not to be missed! I've always thought crabs were the thing to eat in Baltimore but I am very intrigued by these Snow Ball…

    • I always choose the unusual hot chocolates whenever I am out buying one and this would by far be my first choice! Sounds absolutely delicious. Thank you very much for you kind comment you left me recently. I can gladly say back to you that I really enjoy the recipes you feature on your blog too! This isn't the last you'll see of me… 😉

  6. The skirt looks great on you! Looks like it fits perfectly : ) Yay!

Those boots are pretty damn fabulous as well. The whole look came together so well.

I’m so very far behind getting ready for my show I don’t know if I’ll have a post up this week.

Loved seeing you wearing this : )

    bisous
    Suzanne

  7. I think skirts are in many ways better than pants! There aren’t as many fit points, so they can look better!! (no saggy butts!!)
I do love your skirt, but I’m absolutely enamored with those booties too!!
I added my post that included skirts (even though it was earlier in the week) because of your title!!

  8. You look amazing Patti. I love the picture taken with the art setting too. It makes a very interesting composition. Thank you for hosting x

  9. A skirt is probably one of the most versatile items you can have in your wardrobe, I think. And I’ve only been wearing skirts for the past couple of years! I used to be the dress girl. It took me a long time to find the right shape of skirt, but then I was hooked.
Your skirt is very pretty. And isn’t it fun to experiment with more ‘artsy’ photography?
