Hello, old and new friends! There’s a touch of cool in the Florida air, and it’s fun to bring out the cool-weather pieces, if not the down puffer-coat. I love a cozy sweater and a new round-crown hat.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Link back to Not Dead Yet Style if you like – we’re on Easy Does It “rules” now!

I pulled out my faux-leather pencil skirt today (thrifted in NYC), and added an animal print (zebra?) pullover for a simple any-day look. It’s fun to wear tights and boots, especially these floral Doc Martens, gifted to me by my friend Pam. The Brooklyn Maison wool felt hat is courtesy of Tenth Street Hats and recalls Annie Hall for me. Check them out, their selection is charming and smart, and the prices are good. And their back story is fascinating.

“Hats make people feel good, and that’s the point of them.” -Philip Treacy

I like this easy, flow-y style.

I’m wearing two second-hand bracelets and no other accessories. I see now that a short necklace would’ve been a pleasant addition. You can learn a lot about how to style yourself by studying your pics.

“I’m a cat without a hat.”

“Personally I would never want to be a member of any group where you either have to wear a hat, or you can’t wear a hat.”
― George Carlin

The focal piece of the outfit is the fine wool felt hat by Tenth Street. I adore the striped band, water tower pin and sassy feather.
