A couple of neutrals thrown together can make a great look. You can start with what I’m wearing and add color too, of course, with a vibrant print neck scarf, or deep russet boots, or a fabulous hat.

Welcome to Visible Monday. If you want to participate, it’s so easy: just go to the bottom of this post for the how-to. Please be kind and leave a link to Not Dead Yet Style in your post.

Today I chose to live in the neutral zone, in my new favorite trousers (sim): slim knit by Calvin Klein and found for me in the Molly Mutt Thrift store by one of my co-volunteers. Big thanks to Elena, these are the MOST comfortable trousers ever. It feels like wearing leggings, only these are real pants. : >

The gray giraffe blouse (sim) was also thrifted, in St. Petersburg on one of our adventures there. And I must have thrifted the DKNY wool wrap sweater (sim), but I can’t remember where. It’s a wee bit itchy, so I always layer it over something soft. And the Donald J Pliner boots (sim) were a mighty score in NYC, for $20. They’re a full size too big but I couldn’t let them go, so I added those shoe inserts and – perfection! (You do that too right? Don’t be afraid of big shoes.)

  1. I REALLY love that haircut on you! Brings out your lovely jawline and profile! And I am a sucker for a wrap top as well. They’re getting harder to find now in my thrifting expeditions!

  2. I like the sound of those pants (or as we Brits call them., trousers) – comfortable as leggings but proper pants! A very stylish look Patti, you always look fabulous.

  3. Goodness – your hair is just so Fabulous! It was also fun to see you in pants. They look great with this flattering wrap top.

  5. Loving the hair!
Yes, if I find fabulous vintage boots I’m more than happy to wear them with added insoles. Better too big than pinching. xxx

  6. I don’t do that much with footwear – I can’t stand thinking my feet are bigger than they already are. Too bad I can squish my feet into smaller shoes – like those over-the-knee boots I tried on today. So sad.
When people say neutrals, I instantly think of beige. I don’t know why – fear I suppose? I LOVE what you’re wearing, again. This outfit makes your legs look a mile long.

  7. I love this outfit on you, Patti. Gorgeous hair too.
Yes, I’ve went up a whole size and a half in a boot once too and was able to get away with it. Didn’t even realize what size they were till I got them home…and then about fell over… and realized no wonder they felt so roomy and comfortable. ha

  8. That is one of my favourite tricks and my feet really love the extra cushioning.

Like the layers and the boots. We have snow now here : ( It’s boots all the time.

    bisous
    Suzanne
